I recently stayed in Vila Palmeira in Lagos, Portugal. I stayed with my family of 4 for one week in total, checking in on the 23rd of December. We arrived quite late and the reception was obviously closed as it was around 22:30 at night. The kind receptionist (I am so sorry that I forgot her name) came up with an idea to leave a note on the gate for us to receive the keys to our room. Our room was B2-S. The room was spacious with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen that was well equipped, 2 TV's, 2 balconies. The room/ apartment was 2 floors and was very modern. Our apartment was cleaned every 2 days by the cleaning staff. The hotel was really close the beach and was in an ideal location for us to some exploring of Lagos and the surrounding area. Vila Palmeira had a pool and also an artificial stream and waterfall which makes for a really calm vibe of the place. When we entered the room we were kindly greeted by a cake that was left on the dining room table. The receptionist gave us many activities in which we could do, she also gave many recommendations of surrounding restaurants. We were looking to go on the kayaking tours, but unfortunately we couldn't go due to the water not being suitable conditions for kayaking. Instead we went to Portimao and also went go karting at the race track. During our stay we also visited Cape St. Vincent's, Lisbon and also went to midnight mass. I really enjoyed my time in Lagos at Vila Palmeira and will certainly be back if I am ever back in Lagos, Portugal.

We know quite all the lovely Apartments and the most friendly crew sense year 1996...we return every summer and sometimes autumn! An absolut highlight and "coming" home to this gorgeous place every time. There is almost no wish to fulfill for a splendid and relaxed holiday to charge up your battery...from 1 to 2 to 3 bedroom apartments with full fitted kitchen.

Overall, everything was good! Housekeeping only comes 3 times a week (instead of 6 times previously) and in this apartment only in the afternoon. The reception staff are very friendly and nice. The complex is a bit old and needs a thorough renovation. The apartment was very spacious and had a large (semi-covered) terrace with an unbeatable sea view. The location is very good!

Already our 3rd stay - beautiful complex with a short walk to the beach, spacious, comfortably furnished apartment, many apartments with a view of the sea, practical and fully equipped kitchen for self-sufficiency, very friendly and helpful staff, cleaning and towel change great, bathroom newly made with large shower. To get to the city, own car recommended ... that's why we keep coming back ...

Wir kommen seit einigen Jahren regelmäßig im Winter und sind immer sehr zufrieden. Schöne individuelle Appartements mit guter Ausstattung. Die gesamte Anlage ist wie ein betörender botanischer Garten und am Teich hört man die Frösche quaken, herrlich! Im Winter ist das zugehörige Restaurant nicht geöffnet, von daher gibt es dazu keine Bewertung.
