Good location, nice host, but cold!

The Once Upon A Time in Sintra is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Sao Pedro de Penaferrim will find that the Once Upon A Time in Sintra is a fantastic accommodation choice.The hotel is only 1km from Sintra Train Station and 12km from Tires Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. This hotel is located near many of Sao Pedro de Penaferrim's attractions including Historic Center, Jardim da Vígia and Gruta do Labirinto.When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities.

It is difficult to park near several castle attractions in Sintra, so I chose this homestay in a residential area, behind which is a large public free parking lot and restaurants. Although the room is facing the street, it is not noisy. It is still quiet at night. The area is small but the sanitation and facilities are OK. It is not far to walk up the mountain to Pena Palace, but if you come back from the Regalera Palace, don't walk. The two kilometers uphill road is too tired. There should be a bus.

The hotel is in the golf resort. It is convenient if you have a car. If you don't have a car, you can go to the train station and take a bus to the sights. The swimming pool is downstairs, and it's very comfortable to have a sit there in the evening. I'd like to recommend it.

This hotel was lovely in so many ways! I injured myself whilst walking around Sintra and I couldn’t have been looked after better. Breakfast great, beds really comfortable, pillows good, bedding wonderfully unperfumed. Oh and the shower powerful and piping hot. Goes without saying that rooms and communal areas were clean and tidy The staff very professional ie knew their stuff but also friendly and kind.

There was complete attention to detail. Crisp sheets, nice towels, proper duvet, king bed size, good room size, black out curtains, nice bathroom and walk in shower, very good build quality. Great pool with views. Beautiful fully restored historic building setting. Great breakfast with fresh fruits, fresh juice, great yoghurt, cereals, eggs n bacon, croissant, etc. Parking in premises. Restored chapel turned into lounge. They simply got everything right. Staffed by friendly and helpful people.

Wow wow wow! We absolutely loved this place. We had a cute little 1 bdrm apartment and it was so perfect. Beautifully decorated, peaceful, comfy. There was a full refrigerator and microwave so we were able to have our left overs from the awesome food we had while visiting Sintra. Christina was our main host at the office and she was WONDERFUL! So friendly and full of recommendations and helpful advice. She was there for anything/everything we needed. The hotel is a little off the beaten path, which was welcome as the city center is very crowded. This place is truly a gem.

A old, comfortable, comfortable, comfortable, quiet and perfect house is located near Sintra and Cascais on a road. ​It is located between fields in an old moon with a river passing through the property (pats ​e soaps make the party). ​ quiet outdoor areas and ​ well cared with a small outdoor pool spacious rooms, Comfortable beds (King Size) and large bathrooms with good temperature and water pressure ​ There is a very good breakfast and the room is the guest's disposal all the time. ​ Most performing hosts

Decent place to stay if you have a car. Several miles from Sintra historic center area, but we left early enough to get a free spot in a neighborhood a few blocks from the National Palace, so that helps. Room was typical BASIC Ibis. Not enough pillows (just ONE per person); towels (again, only ONE total, per person, or trash cans (again, ONE TINY one). No fridge!! No coffee maker. NO ICE machine available for public use in the entire hotel! Very tricky parking spaces. They have about 15-20, which are free, on surface lot, but need to pay if park in structure below...only 3 euros, but they should just make it free. The bar/restaurant area was decent and convenient; fair prices for quick dinner. Breakfast 8.50 euros, but very limited continental breakfast only; not hot items... We chose to eat elsewhere and was less expensive. Not many places to eat in immediate vicinity. There is a very convenient Lidl and Auchan (large grocery/gen merch store) to stock up on supplies before heading out. Internet wasn't working our first night, but was ok the next night. In summary, inexpensive, basic, clean room for the night, but definitely no friils. Would recommend staying here, as long as aware of basic/limited amenities

Dear Sir, I am checking out in your hotel on Sept 10, can you help me to ask your floor keeper to check in Rm 407 if they can find a small organizer in dark color with an ID car inside , they may check the locker , drawer and whatever place they can find in the room . Thank you in advance for your help .
