We spent two nights at this delightful hotel and winery and wished we could have stayed longer. Maria and Jose Manuel are wonderful hosts and their hotel is a beautifully restored building with a lot of history.We ordered dinner for one night and Marie prepared a fantastic dish, probably one of our best meals while in Portugal. The winery tour and tasting that Jose Manuel gave was a nice treat and we took wine with us when we left. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, the surrounding vineyards were beautiful and our hosts were so welcoming. We would recommend Casa Grande do Seixo to anyone who travels to this area of Portugal!

We had a wonderful three days at Casa Grande Do Seixo. It’s a special place. We are golfers and had booked to play the course at Vidago Palace on two of our three days. The course is a 20 min drive away - so CG is the perfect spot for a base. It is set in it’s own vineyards - and the owners - Mr Manuel and Maria were really excellent hosts. From booking restaurants for us to recommending places to visit to looking after me when I was unwell, Mr Manuel and Maria were the perfect hosts. There is something very special about Mr Manuel talking you through the wines he has produced- and then drinking them with the food cooked by Maria at dinner. Both the wines and the food were really good. And of course - a special mention for the homemade grappa too. Mr Manuel will also walk you round the wine production facilities and explain the process that leads to his excellent wines. The rooms are large and sparkling clean. Ours was on the second floor looking out over the vineyards. Early May was too cold for the pool - but it is beautifully situated on the edge of the vineyards with lovely views. Thanks again for a special stay.

We want to thank Maria and Manuel for your warm hospitality. We experienced a wonderful, relaxing day at their home. They showed us around the property and informed us on the vineyard and the village. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to go visit the real Portugal (and to who wants to drink a few glasses of a good wine on a beautiful site.

This was our second visit to CASA Grande and it didn’t disappoint. Maria and Manuel are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them. We love the quiet location in the vineyard. It was so peaceful and you can guarantee a good nights sleep. The rooms are large and immaculately clean. Breakfast was good with many choices. Their own wine is delicious, just a shame that we couldn’t bring any home with us.

A guest house near Vidago, Portugal, this is a beautiful and relaxing location. Maria made us dinner after our long drive and it was lovely. Jose wine was the best we had in Portugal. Highly recommend!

A casa era idêntica às fotos, possuía um parque de estacionamento disponível para os hóspedes. Ótima vista. Casa quente nesta altura do ano, a decoração bonita e rústica, casa organizada e limpa, camas confortáveis. Pessoas acolhedoras.

Uma casa antiga, recuperada e cheia de pormenores muito bonitos, com uma envolvente magnifica. Tranquilamente se passa o dia e tranquilamente se dorme à noite. Além da simpatia da família Nobre, destaque para a anfitriã Maria, com quem é um prazer conversar. Apesar da azáfama das vindimas, o Sr. Manuel tinha sempre tempo para nos aconselhar sobre por onde andar, sendo que vale a pena perdermo-nos por lá pois tudo é lindo. A piscina é ótima e os gatos andam sempre à procura de festas e colo. Um sítio que deixa boas memórias. Já agora, há doces caseiros e vinho feito na propriedade.
