The breakfast is not bad in the local area. This hotel is very good. It is an international chain hotel and very safe. Great.

Meliá Ibirapuera is my hotel choice when in Sao Paulo. The location is perfect, close to shopping and restaurants. The staff is top notch. Everyone is polite and ready to help. I was late for my second stay in the same month and Gabriela Pardo in the front desk was super nice when I called to confirm my stay. Jennifer Alves as always the best of the best. She is my guard angel when I need a late checkout due to late flights. Without her help I could not do it. She is the reason for my stay at Meliá Ibirapuera for the past 3 years in a roll. The breakfast room team is phenomenal. My 11 years old son was impressed by their professionalism. A special thank you to Henrique for the awesome cappuccinos and Enio (manager) for the great team. We will be back. Thank you all!

Very good hotel, kind staff and great location. The disappointment was with Trip.com that sells a “lottery option” for the type of accommodation saying that it can be twin or king size bed to be decided by the hotel upon arrival. This isn’t correct. Obviously the hotel will give the cheaper option and the twin bed. Completely misleading by trip.com and/or by the agreement made with the hotel. Either way, an unnecessary stress after an intercontinental flight of more than 12h, tired and hoping to rest, though we had to go through the embarrassment and lengthier check-in process.

Among the front desk staff, there was an older guy with longer hair, Esteve I think his name was, was extremely nice! Gave great service and was also very nice and talkative. Had a nice room on 22nd floor with a Paulista Avenue view. Very good location. Practically the only hotel in Sao Paulo which is on the Paulista Avenue itself. 20 meters from the metro station which makes the location, if possible, even better! Both shower and toliet had seen their best days and shower was keeping on leaking for 20 mins after have taken a shower. The toliet couldnt flush too much paper. The soap was a bit of an annoyance because the soap would make your hands sticky rather than clean so you had to rinse and rinse and dry your hands repeatedly to get your hands clean. So a suggestion would be to look at exchanging the soap. Tried the breakfast one day. Was surprised that they had pancakes available on request which none of my other hotels in Brazil I stayed with had. So that was a big plus. Also they had freshly squeezed orange juice which also was yet another plus. They could have had more fresh fruit available though. Now they only had watermelon, melon, papaya and pineapple. Why no big passion fruits? Overall great stay but hotel is getting a bit old and also the elevators are very slow. Had to go down to the front desk a lot because my key cards would stop working. Also the internet needs you to log in again every other day which is a bit of an unneccessary annoyance for guests. It shouldnt be too much hassle from the hotel to fix this or change the system. Location is the biggest plus with the hotel.
