It is really a safe and comfortable place to live in. You can meet people from different countries. Free breakfast and you can also store your luggage there.

The place is nice, quiet, the common areas remain clean and it helps a lot that it is close to the metro station. However, the cleaning in the standard single room is not appropriate, the sheets, pillowcases and sleeping quilt were visibly dirty, with stains and it was obvious that they had not been washed in a while; Additionally, the curtain in the room was also dirty and broken, the bathroom, although clean, showed rust in parts of the shower and there was no hand soap. The cleanliness in the room could improve a lot to make a pleasant stay.

Nice place but horrible and scary staff !!
The very first contact was so rude saying that in Brazil i should only speak Portuguese ! The receptionist was sleeping in the same room and at the point at 11 in the morning i got a phone call. And he strated to insult me and hit the walls !!! Incredible !!!

This is a small, cozy, quiet kind of hostel in the middle of a fairly upscale residential neighbourhood.Villa Madelena subway station ( the terminus station of the green line) is about 3 blocks away and there are also lots of shops and restaurants plus one moderate sized and one large supermarket within about 5 blocks.The staff are friendly, helpful and very laid back and the oremises are immaculately clean.Plus, the surrounding neighbourhood is perfectly safe.I ventured out day and night with no problems whatsoever.

I have to try and be as objective as possible. Ordinarily I would rate this place 5/5, perhaps even 11/10. The area is very good indeed and the property is situated only a few minutes from the metro and supermarkets. The staff were amazing..truly amazing. The WiFi was excellent, breakfast was included and laundry was available for 30R. Netflix alongside plenty of seating areas including a terrace are also an added bonus and some drinks and snacks can be purchased here too. However....the moment I got into my bed on the second night I pulled over the blanket, and was frantically bitten by a bed bug which I caught and squished. I wanted to leave, however, not having the energy I requested another bed the next night and I didn't have issues, though I removed all the pullover bedding which is used by multiple people without being washed.... Another guest checked into the very bed I left and was scratching all night. Usually I have a default 1/5 for bedbugs, but I'm going to give 2.5/5 which will auto rate to 3/5. Bed bugs are completely unacceptable and nothing was done about it, though everything else in the hostel was fantastic.

Fiquei 3 dias no Villa Hostel na Vila Madalena em São Paulo recebi um tratamento humanizado,carinhoso e educado. O lugar é ótimo para descansar durante a noite é silencioso, o banho é quentinho o cafezinho da Joana é uma delícia ao lado do metrô e terminal de ônibus realmente muito bom para locomover-se na capital, desde o primeiro contato com eles percebi que são atenciosos e respondem prontamente. Se você quer se hospedar em um hostel e pagar com ótimo custo benefício pode fica no Villa Hostel tranquilamente,Sr Cláudio, Luisa,Michaela,dona Joana estariam lá para te receber de braços abertos.
