W São Paulo

What an amazing property in Sao Paulo! From a US traveler: Service was some of the best I have experienced in my time traveling. From the bellman to front desk to all of the restaurants and pool staff we encountered, it makes you feel like royalty. They are always there to assist and help you in anyway possible. Room was a little bit on the smaller side when you are staying there for 4-5 days however the bathroom was big. Everything was very clean and daily service with turndown was much appreciated without even asking. Pool on the rooftop was one of the favorite parts of our trip, nice way to spend a sunny day and enjoy cocktails. L40 on the top floor was an amazing way to spend the evening or to come back to the hotel as a nightcap drink. We went there for 3 nights straight after coming back from dinner, the bartenders are so knowledgeable and give you a full experience instead of just serving drinks. Taylor from the concierge team gave full support as soon as my reservation was booked to the day we checked out. Set up all of our restaurant reservations, things to do in the area, spa appointments, thank you for all that you did for us. Definitely will be back when we make a return trip to Brazil and São Paulo area.

- Room is super tiny like some Manhattan New York City hotel. My room does not even have a desk. - Service is ok. Receptionist initially declined to charge company virtual card, but the manager fixed the problem. - Location is in the center of business district.

Lunch at @Baio Restaurant in W Hotel Sao Paulo Very Good Menu and excelent choices. From apetizers to the main course. Bit pricy as expected but not out of extraordinary. Choices of grilled meat and fish. Good wine selection. Service is good!

I have been a Titanium Elite Member for 4 years and counting. I have stayed at many hotels around the world. I was at the W Santiago where my husband and I were treated like royalty by every single one of the staff members including the Manager. Because of this experience and the great reviews I had read about how wonderful W hotels treat their Titanium Elite members, I decided to spend one night at the W Sao Paulo and experience it. When we checked in, we were told that – while I was entitled to an upgrade to a suite – because the hotel was “soft opening”, there were no suites available. (Note - per the Bonvoy site, there were suites available that night). As compensation, the manager promised to send a bottle of CHAMPAGNE to the room. Instead, he sent a bottle of cheap Cava (market price $9.99) and one piece of stale chocolate cake (for two people). He also promised 1,000 points – which have never been credited to my account. We were told the best time to go to breakfast was at/around 8am. My husband and I were at the breakfast room at 8:15am. There were only a couple of people in the room. I asked the woman working at the desk about a window view table. She told me that all those tables were reserved. If that indeed was the case, I was never told I had to make a reservation for a table at the window for breakfast. The woman was rude and did not even face us when she finally gave us a table in the EMPTY breakfast room. Next time you need to a hotel in Sao Paulo, GO TO THE Y NOT THE W.

I have to say, this is the best W Hotels property I’ve stayed at. I spent two nights at the new W São Paulo, where I was upgraded to a W Suite as a Titanium member. Breakfast was included, and I received 1,000 welcome points at the main restaurant on the 23rd floor. They offer a smaller buffet with high-quality items, along with a special menu featuring options like omelets, Eggs Benedict, acai, tapioca, and more. I arrived at the hotel early, around 11:00 AM, and while my suite wasn’t ready yet, I was offered a Cozy Room before moving to the suite. Though the room was a bit small, I appreciated the gesture. The hotel occupies floors 23 through 40 of a 40-story building, with the remaining floors reserved for W Residences. I used to stay at the Renaissance on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, but it’s starting to show its age. The W is now my new favorite.
