Outstanding service. Exquisite views. Personal service from the staff ( including a ride to and from a restaurant on our first night) We enjoyed the breakfast daily. The accommodations were spacious and clean with water views . The grounds are lush and well tended. We had a sunset happy hour by the pool with one of our favorite views of the trip.

Cantinho das Buganvilias is a prime example of the kind of tourist accommodation the azores need more of. Clean, modern and with friendly staff. The restaurant serves excellent food and the chef Bráulio and waiter Lionardo are very attentive and accomodating.

A pleasant surprise, I wasn't expecting it to be so pleasant, the view of Velas and Pico island. Seriously, it was a view that everyone should be able to enjoy one day. Wonderful space. I recommend it and would like to do it again one day. Apartments equipped and prepared to have a meal if necessary.

The location is really wonderful, with a phenomenal view of the islands of Pico and Faial and the village of Velas. At the end of the day, the sunset is simply stunning! If you can, choose one of the apartments on the top floor because you won't regret it. The apartments are modern and spacious, with a huge bathroom, with glass doors in the living room and bedrooms that allow you to continuously enjoy the landscape. The outdoor swimming pool is very pleasant, and of course it is located on the edge of the property, which allows you to be in the front row for the aforementioned view. Dinner in the restaurant was very pleasant, with several tuna delicacies and octopus rice to cry for more! The wine list is adequate and at very interesting prices.

A small resort but where we can immediately see that it is managed with the utmost care and a great desire to provide the best it has to its customers. Upon arrival we had a sign on the counter to call Max, he arrived in no time even though he was full of work, he took us to the room. He upgraded us because “as we are out of high season and when we are not busy, we like to give the best we have to customers”. We went from a T1 to a T2Superior, no one forced him to do it, but he did it. I would like to suggest that due to the difference in price, it is worth booking this type of accommodation because the view is stunning. The restaurant works seasonally but they gave us the names of the best restaurants on the island. Breakfast is as expected in a space like this. If you return to São Jorge this is the place to stay.

was 6 nights there, very nice facility, spacious rooms and facilities. Ate fish twice in the restaurant, very tasty! Gin and tonic on the bar terrace in the evening with a view over the bay! Pool was often used as well as protected bathing bays in Velas. Access to the sea 5 minutes from the hotel only suitable when the sea is calm. In the evening and at night you can hear the Cory's Shearwaters. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, toast. Staff very friendly, helpful. no public Transport, rental car advisable. In Vela's big supermarket.
