Solar Do Magoito

We were a party of three families with a mixture of adults, teens and children. We all loved the space and facilities that Solar do Magoito provided. The kids in particular enjoyed the pools, gym, pool table, table tennis, tennis court and even bikes. The pool house was perfect for family meals and parties. As it was the summer, this became the centre of our daily life too. Manuel couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. He was always available if we needed assistance but was equally unobtrusive when we wanted privacy. The location is perfect for people who like something a little more authentic and private whilst still being within walking distance to a beautiful beach and some local restaurants. As we had decided not to hire cars, we used Uber and Bolt which proved vey easy and efficient. It is also easy to get to Sintra, Cascais and Lisbon ( we found Bolt to be half the price for the latter fare). Manuel is proud of the property and legacy, and rightly so.

What an excellent place to stay near Sintra! The cottages themselves may be hard to find but do not let that deter you. The host Manuel is super friendly, the breakfast is fantastic, and while I can't speak for every cottage on the property, but mine had a pool table inside along with all sorts of fun modern touches to the overall rustic atmosphere. The place was super clean as well. They have tennis courts, heated pools, ping pong tables, and really about anything else you can imagine. If you want some good restaurant suggestions in the area, they will give those to you as well. Honestly, this was one of the best places I've stayed in my life let alone Portugal. I cannot recommend it enough.
