We stayed in room 2. Quiet room, even though located in the heart of Fira. Minutes away from everything: taxi and bus terminals, restaurants and cafés, and endless shopping. Would definitely stay again. 😊

We got there early but Jimmy made sure we were comfortable and got our room ready for us. It is only a short walk from the bus hub. The shopping and sunset trail is right across the street. Lots of restaurants right in front. Highly recommended! Would stay there again.

The location of the hotel couldn’t be more perfect, offering breathtaking views of the iconic Santorini landscapes. Waking up to the mesmerizing sunrise and relaxing with the stunning sunset was truly unforgettable. What made my stay even more special was the exceptional hospitality provided by the host Christina and Jimmy. They were incredibly attentive to the guests’ needs and went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. The hotel itself had a charming and cozy ambiance. Even though the room was a little smaller than we expected, it was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploration. We highly recommend Platia hotel!

Platia Fira was the ideal location for exploring Santorini, especially if you are not renting a car. Located on the main square in Fira, it is within a short walk of the bus station and close to restaurants, travel agencies, shopping, etc. Our room #3 had the balcony overlooking the square but still set back far enough to not be bothered by people walking by, plus the room had great soundproofing. The room had every amenity you could desire, even items like an electrical converter, curling iron, bathroom scale, laundry rack…more amenities than we had in 4-star hotels in Athens. There is a lovely rooftop with a view of the city where you can sit and relax if desired. I had several WhatsApp conversations with the friendly hostess, Christina, prior to arrival. I paid in advance for an excellent price. Although breakfast is not technically included, we were always given packaged croissants, juice and fresh eggs to cook in the egg cooker provided. There was also a binder of information about activities, transportation, etc. for the island…this binder was the most comprehensive I have ever seen in a hotel. The only thing Platia Fira lacks is the pricey view of the caldera, but I would highly recommend the hotel…you only need to walk a few minutes toward Firostefani for terrific sunset views.

Christina the host absolutely wonderful. Location #1 so clean so welcoming. Everything within walking distance. Loved the fresh eggs from Christina daily. Totally recommend. Would stay again i. A heart beat.

Super friendly host Christina, a clean room, convenient location! Free eggs and juice every morning! We could even enjoy the sunrise from the balcony. I can't thank you enough.

Sometimes you go somewhere that you prefer not to tell others about. This is one of those times. I was only at Platia for one night but it was absolutely fantastic. Christina is warm, pleasant and very efficient. Communicative and genuinely seeming to care, she has put together a beautifully furnished set of rooms right on the Main Square. The quality of the furnishings, the air conditioning and the shower and bed were all top notch. I was a little worried that it might be noisy, but the windows are great quality and I slept like a baby. Meanwhile, if you want to experience the hustle and bustle, just go onto the spacious balcony and watch everything happening below. A great place to have a glass of wine before heading out for the evening. I have been to Santorini many times but this was my first time spending a night in Fira. I would definitely return to Platia and would strongly encourage you to try it out!

The hotel is nice, very clean and it's right in the middle of the action. Though this hotel is not on the cliff overlooking the caldera, it's very close by.

It’s location is the best, very close to everything! Christina was a big help during the checking in and out! I would stay here again when I come back!
