Asteras Villas

Astera Villas A little hard to find villas as it’s not accessible by the main road. Easiest was us to come to Hotel Atlantis and walk on the walk way for about 500m and it’s on the left with stairs going down. A small room for reception where Ms. Fei will greet you with a smile and give the details of the island with the keys to your villa and a map with all highlights of Santorini. Be ready to climb up and down stairs. There are lots of stairs. The room was quite nice. Basic, simple, Unique and clean. Bed is on a raised concrete floor. Pretty basic with a coffee table and a chair, water heater, fridge and amenities. No breakfast buffet but you order what you would like and it gets delivered to your room at an agreed time in the morning. Summer time you could have breakfast on the balcony but in winter, it’s in the room. The villa is in a very central location. Easy to get to shops, eating places and attractions. It’s nothing fancy but if you spending time outside, this is ideal and has beautiful views. Minor downside, slight mold in bathroom ceiling and that could be due to poor ventilation and high humidity especially in winter when you take hot showers.

Stayed in the La Luna suite, balcony view was spectacular! 1st row view of the sunset in your own private space, as well as enjoyment of breakfast in the morning sun(Do order their pie of the day!). Service provided was excellent as well, they do assist with carrying the luggage to and from the room through the flight of stairs, and also from the main street where you alight from transport arranged via the hotel. Although the suite was situated beside a bar, the room was entirely soundproof which was a pleasant surprise. All in all, will highly recommend staying in asteras villa.
