Belle Etoile Villas

Our family (4 generations, total of 11 people) stayed at the property for 5 days in 4 different rooms. Very large and clean rooms; exceptional customer service, good location (we had two cars and motorcycle) and just great overall experience for the money you are paying. In addition, they were very accommodating and even baked deserts for my son with celiac disease.

From the minute we arrived to the moment we left the staff were amazing. Friendly, happy, engaging. Away from the noise of the crowds it was a breath of fresh air. Yet still only a short walk to Imerovigli. The suite was great - loved the hot tub, the views. The pool and sun deck was beautifully kept, quiet and relaxing. Great small hotel!!

· Bathroom smelled terrible due to dirty drains. I was holding my breath every time I went in. Shower head was caked in scum. I did not feel clean the entire time I was there. Room is empty and sterile but somehow still smells unclean. Every towel and robe was worn, rough, and stained. Pool turned my feet blue because the paint is not sealed properly. Hot tub was barely warm, not very clean, and jets barely worked. We couldn’t wait to leave this place. It was extremely disappointing. We almost left the first day but $400/night was too much to blow to get another hotel on top of it. Worst place we stayed in all of Greece by FAR. It feels like a scam how crappy everything is for the price. Do not be fooled by the photos.

I booked the Belle Etoile back in 2019 in readiness for my wedding in 2020. I booked out the whole hotel to ensure that I could have all my family out there with me and we could enjoy all the facilities without having to share! Almost like a home from home. My wedding was postponed due to the pandemic and while that was of course devastating - Avgi had no problem with me postponing at all and found a week for me that would work. When I told her I had to postpone again, she did the same thing. It was no problem for her at all. I think that is the most important thing to say here... nothing is a problem for Avgi or her sister Bella. Nothing is an issue and there isn't anything that they can't fix or find a solution for. We were a group of 25 people and while the hotel wasn't at full capacity with us all there - we'd taken over all the rooms and we were everywhere. Lots of requests and demands from all over the place, usually fielded through me but Avgi would just get on and get it sorted. So to start with - their service is fantastic and their support for me was second to none. I could not have asked for more from them and even if I had - it wouldn't have mattered as Avgi or Bella would have found a way of making that request come true. I would say... they help to make dreams come true. Now onto the hotel itself. It's a beautiful boutique hotel with ten rooms. Each one is unique and slightly different. I personally stayed in the honeymoon suite which was amazing. I have one TINY request and that would just to be to have a chest of drawers as I like be able to put all my things into drawers BUT let me make this really clear, that's a personal preference. There was so much space in the room as well. My room was a secluded space away from the main hotel and it had a hot tub. Fantastic view from the hot tub. They provided robes, fresh towels, slippers, toiletries, the mini bar was stocked, they had little extra 'Santorini' nibbles as well in each of the room. My room came with an iron and ironing board, hair dryer, massive dresser and mirror as well as a really big bathroom with waterfall shower and standard shower head. The bed was huge and SO comfortable. I'm also pregnant, Avgi actually went out and got me a pregnancy pillow to ensure that I slept properly. The other rooms all are equipped with kitchens, microwaves, fridges, some of the rooms have irons but you can request this from the reception as well. The A/C can also switch to heating which was needed on a couple of nights because we went out in early May, that meant the evenings were a little chilly. My parents and my sister's family stayed in the superior suites down at the bottom of the hotel. They both have hot tubs too and are lovely rooms - really spacious. I feel like the Belle Etoile was the best choice for me as I had guests that required disabled access and most of the hotels in Santorini aren't designed for this. I stayed here as a part of 8 from 24 Aug -29 Aug. We were met by the lovely Bella (Manager) on arrival. The property is located on a very busy road. The superior 2 bed apartment was surprisingly large, tastefully decorated and had a jacuzzi on the veranda over looking the sea (sunrise views). This is a hilly island and the hotel was no exception. Lots of steps and hilly ground to move between our room and the reception. It's walkable distance to Fira although I would recommend hiring a car to get around if you want to explore. Breakfast - you complete a form the night before (hand in before 9pm). We made additional requests on the morning and this was never an issue. My only comment is that breakfast was usually cold. Not the biggest deal in the world. All the staff were very friendly and overall a very pleasant stay. Would highly recommend!

We rent a honeymoon suite and it was okay. The hotels views is sunRISE not the sunset. We ordered from the room service some lunch and we waited 1h 30min to get them COLD. They didn't give us any discount or even apologize. There was sunbeds but a few of them was covered with rust and dust. Bed is soft and nice. Room was clean and nice cold from the AC. Hotels neighbourhood is not so nice. Very busy road (high way almost) and some trash barrels here and there. Not gonna recommend this hotel, sadly. :( It wasn't worth the money (and we paid same as is with the caldera views hotel).
