Looks 5* but food offering let's it down. Half board options for dinner is not up to standard. Sent most meals back or we did not eat them. Only two choices for starter and main. There was no vegetables with any of the meals until night seven and in my opinion the food was not nutritious. All the meals had a chive oil to make it look nice, but chive oil does not go with everything! We had to make a formal complaint with Maria who was on reception. We never received an apology from any of the management. The a la carte menu is lovely for lunch or dinner but you pay for this. You can swap your dinner for lunch but this was just a fresher version of the dinner. You need to buy water from the bar as the water is undrinkable, this was 2.50 Euro a bottle, which i think is excessive when there is nothing else available unless you go to the nearest shop 10/15 Minutes away and carry water back. We were there for 10 days, Elias was the senior server and he had noticed that we hardly ate anything, he gave the feedback to the chef and the last three days the food improved. Superior Suite has a tiny bathroom, two people cannot fit at any one time. There is nowhere to hang towels. Shower is of good quality and powerful. The room has an Nespresso machine and plenty of pods. The rooms are clean. A lot of waiting staff were in training, which we can understand early in the season, however whilst having lunch on one of the days it started to rain and myself and my partner were running with our food and drinks to get cover but the staff were more worried about the cushions on the chairs getting wet. More training needed. Stelios at the pool bar was efficient and caring and catered to all our drink needs. Vasilis in the main bar at night was great, chatty, quick and knew how to make a good cocktail, especially Margaritas! Where his proportions were spot on!

We had a fantastic stay for 2 weeks at this wonderful hotel (16th Sep-30th Sep 2023). From the day we arrived to the moment we left, we had 5* service from all the staff, who welcomed us and looked after us and who made us feel like family by the end of our vacation. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that as it was our first visit and as we were staying for a longer period of time at the hotel, than most guests who stay 3/4 mainly, the hotel had given us a complimentary upgrade to a superior room with a pool for the last 10 nights of our holiday, which we really were very grateful for. The first four nights were spent in the standard double room, which was more than adequate and spacious. The superior room was a duplex room with its own pool, a great decking area and was private. The hotel also supplies pool towels, slippers and gowns with whatever room you book. The hotel although full, did not feel busy, there were plenty of sunbeds around the pool and you could get a table in the restaurant if you wanted to dine from the A La Carte Menu, which we thought was reasonably priced. The quality and quantity was of a high standard, all freshly cooked and prepared and dishes to suit all. We thought the food was of a higher standard than some of the restaurants in the resort centre. We opted for B&B although the hotel offers HB as well, as we like to take a walk out in the evenings and it gave us the option to eat at the hotel or eat out and there are plenty of places to chose from within walking distance. The hotel has it's own spa where you can book treatments, a gym which has plenty of equipment and courtesy rooms, which were spotless, for anyone having a late check out to be able to shower and change. The hotel is a 4 minute walk into Perissa & Perivolos, if you want it a bit more lively turn left into Perissa and if you want it a bit more chilled and low key turn right into Perivolos, which had some amazing beach bars and restaurants. If you don't fancy driving (parking can be a bit of a nightmare in some places), then the hotel offers a chauffeur service and they can give you a price to wherever you would like to go and visit. We used this instead of hiring a car, it was much easier than using a taxi (although buses do run regularly) the company came and picked us up from the hotel and then collected us where they dropped us off when we called them to tell them we wanted picking up, we just had to give them half an hours notice, which was great we had no time limits and we could spend our days / evenings at leisure. We want to give a big shout out to the staff at the 9 Muses, that worked and looked after us this summer season, all working long hours yet still they always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble, you all made our holiday that extra bit special and good memories of a great holiday in Santorini. A big thank you to Elizabeth, Sakis, Sissy, Helena. Jan, Makis, Bill and Alex - and anyone else who haven't me

We have been to the Nine Muses on three occasions now, and we love this hotel. Whilst it is a little less on the beaten track than a lot of the Perissa hotels, it makes it a far more quiet and relaxing holiday for us. We love the walks to the shops, bars, restaurants and beach in the evenings, and coming back to a beautiful beach bar. The rooms are always immaculately clean, and the food is great. We upgraded this year, to have our own private pool and it was amazing. The communal pool has been upgraded and is never so crowded that you cannot have a sun bed if you wish. The staff are so efficient and lovely, which always makes our holidays more special. We would always choose this hotel above others and will be back again soon!

A great place to stay for a relaxing vacation. The staff and service was great and the room was nice and tidy every day! Bed was big 180cm wide. Really solid food worth every penny, happy hour drinks cheapest on the island 6 euros. The hotel is very helpful booking trips and vehicles to rent and drive around the island. I highly recommend this place to anyone going to Santorini.

Stayed here on half board basis. Check in very organised. Rooms very clean and serviced daily, thank you for the room clean. Pool area very relaxing. Walking distance to beach, shops restaurants. Hotel restaurant, exceptional staff very attentive. Limited menu, however changed daily and very tasty. Spa very good, plenty of treatments to choose from. As a frequent traveler there is nothing I can fault with this hotel, had a great week here. Thank you to all the staff who made me feel very welcome. Would highly recommend this hotel

Mid-age couple, first time in Santorini, we spent 8 days in 2 hotels on both sides of the island Caldera (Petit Palace) & Perissa (9 Muses). We have chosen 9 Muses at 300€/night because the other option in Perissa (Istoria at 600€/night) looked overpriced for what we understand about Greek islands. Excellent - the Perivolos beach, the beach Lidos, the sea water Good: - general layout of the pool space, the pool bar and the restaurant - regular service around the pool bar & the restaurant - rooms were clean - bathroom with shower very convenient - the Gym space with state of the art bathrooms Bellow average: - the breakfast Very Bad: - the rooms furniture is outdated 20 years old at least, not in good shape - room amenities non existent, no coffee machine, only two power outlets (of which one on the corridor) - very bad smell in the rooms and around the pool (we assumed the sewerage is not maintained); after complaints, the solution provided by the hotel was to stop the pool showers! but there was no change in the rooms, very likely comes from air conditioning (old style, bulky device floor-mounted, filters not changed since ages) - walking to the beach: it a "decentralized administration", a dusty village where constructions are done chaotically, private owners buying parcels of land and starting constructions, stopping afterwards etc; should have a look on Goggle maps before deciding to go there, "what you see is what you get" at least in July 2023 Overall: The 5-star classification, even by Greek standards, it is a shame (and puts some doubts on evaluations provided by Tripadvisor/booking/******* etc): 9 Muses is a 3-star hotel for families looking to accommodate 4+ members for a budget; couples stay away, unless you are ready for the dusty village roads, the bad smells and you get a bargain price 100..150€/night
