Aparthotel Black Sand

The place was not as nice as the reviews give. Arrived tired but not the room we booked with two singles instead of a double as all booked up and views over a building site. Place had the feel of 80s Spenish hotel. We were lucky to get a move through TUI. Could not recommend. Definitely 3 star.

Came back to our favourite place to stay . The owners Mantha and Stefanos made us very welcome , nothing was too much trouble for them . The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard daily , breakfast is great every day , the swimming pool area is always clean and beds are always available , we had pizza for lunch in the bar area and it was perfecto , we will definitely return next year , also very good value for money .

We have been to Santorini 3 times now and I can honestly say to anyone thinking of staying here you need to go to traditional style hotels. The Black Sands hotel is just that. Nothing fancy but just everything you need to have a great Greek experience. Don't be fooled though the facilities here are superb.. Fantastic showers,great rooms, air conditioning, lovely pool,Sunbed towels,Pool bar servicing food and drinks,and a great location for all the local attractions,what more do you want?. If you need anything when staying here then Mantha is the person to ask she is lovely and puts that icing on the cake to make your stay extra special. Can't wait to come back next year..

What a time we have had staying at this hotel from the time we arrived we were greeted by Mantha what an amazing person she is, the room we had 101 was right at the front of the hotel own entrance and private balcony room was spotlessly clean towels changed daily bed linen changed 3 times during our weeks stay the grounds are well maintained and kept clean and tidy and the resort of Kamari is amazing with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants will definitely be returning massive shout out to Mantha and Stephanos and the whole team for looking after us during our stay

I took my teenage daughter here with me in July and we had an amazing time. Mantha and her family were lovely, friendly and couldn't do enough for their guests. Lots of chats, advice and stories about the area. Mantha even provided her contact number incase of any emergency whilst out and about in Santorini. Rooms were large, spotless in typical Greek traditional style and cleaned daily. Pool area and bar were lovely, always spotless and plenty big for the number of guests and always had sun loungers available. The hotel was in a quiet location that was literally 3 minutes walk to the beach front, promenade and bars. Being just the two of us i was initially worried about safety when walking around the town at night but can hand on heart say it was amazing how safe Santorini was and felt. I will definitely be going back for a re-visit

Thank you so much to Mantha and her family for their hospitality. We had a great 2 week stay at Black Sand in Kamari. Location: excellent. In a quiet location but only one street back from the beach, and only a few mins walk from beachfront promenade and all shops, bars, restaurants. Facilities: everything you would expect from a small 3 star traditional Greek hotel but to a very high standard. Lovely pool area, pool and snack bar serving light meals, lovely dining area for breakfast and our room contained everything we needed. We had a ground floor apartment with separate kitchen, living area and bedroom. Lovely terrace that opened out directly to the pool and bar area. The pool is small but large enough for a swim and dip with enough loungers for the amount of guests. The photos don’t do it justice, how pretty and nice it is. Overall we were very happy. Cleanliness: again excellent. Everywhere so clean, the cleaners worked so hard all day long and it really showed. Food and drink. We ate snacks and lunch a few times and all food was homemade, delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was traditional Greek breakfast, simple but enough to set you up and we enjoyed it every day. We had a great stay and as others have said Mantha (and her family) are what make the place so special. She is so welcoming and goes above and beyond to make all guests welcome and feel at home, with chats, advice and even providing her number to contact in case of any problems while out and about in Santorini. She even provides free towels to use for pool and beach, which she has sewn together so they are exact length of the loungers with a sewn pocket so they hook over and stay in place on the lounger. Lots of repeat visitors and I can see why. We would happily stay again if come back to Kamari. Thank you all at Black Sand ❤️
