When we made the decision to book a stay in Perissa, finding the right hotel was quite a challenge. I was eager for a place that exuded authentic Greek charm rather than a sleek, modern establishment. After considerable deliberation, we chose the Meltemi Suites, and I must say – it exceeded our expectations! This property has a delightful boutique feel, featuring only 16 rooms, all impeccably overseen by Panos and Yanna. The owners have truly struck gold with these two; they are an incredible asset to the establishment. Whatever their compensation is, it surely doesn’t reflect the level of service they provide! They are incredibly accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure that every detail is just right. The property itself is quaint and visually appealing. There’s always a spot available by the pool, and many of the rooms come with their own terrace and Jacuzzi. It's definitely worth booking one of those! The place was spotless and ideally situated, just a short stroll from the main road and a quick walk to the beach. We chose the bed and breakfast option to explore the numerous restaurants nearby. Would I return to this hotel? Without a doubt, in a heartbeat!

The staff make this place one of the best places we’ve stayed , Yanna goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and sorted out car hire and an amazing catamaran trip for us , she really cares about all her guests , all the staff are fantastic though they are all friendly , it makes it feel like home for the week , we had our own jacuzzi and balcony with sun beds the rooms are traditionally decorated spacious and airy and have a fridge and kettle and great AC , the location is fab as it’s only a few minutes to the beach and lots of tavernas I will definitely return here

My wife and I stayed at the Meltemi Suites during the May half-term break. We were instantly greeted by Yanna who was incredibly helpful and pleasant throughout our entire stay. Despite the heavy suitcases, she insisted on carrying one to our room for us. The staffing in the hotel made it such a welcoming and relaxing holiday, Panos too was so friendly and would do anything so that you enjoyed your stay. We had room 8, which was tucked into a corner but it did have a lovely view of a little courtyard area when you opened the doors and windows. The room itself was typically and authenticity Greek and was plenty spacious for the 2 of us. Great air conditioning, small fridge. There was a tv but no channels tuned in but that wasn’t an issue. The bathroom was a good size, half decent shower. Only complaint was that was no shower screen or curtain at all so the bathroom floor was soaked. Cleaner daily & cleaned well. We had the opportunity to view 2 other rooms and these too were authentically Greek but had their own individual layout and decor. We stayed half board with our evening meal served at the Atlantis restaurant which is a 1 minute walk from the hotel and looks out onto the beach. We didn’t have a bad meal there, plenty of choice and every night consisted of a 3 course meal. Portion sizes not too bad. Breakfast in the hotel was very fresh. There was a small choice of warm food, eg bacon, sausage, omelette, scrambled, fried eggs and beans but sometimes none were available when we arrived (& it wasn’t late) but Yanna or Panos would happily cook more if you asked. Not many beds around the pool but there are only 16 rooms so it makes sense. There are other beds above the rooms too (& some rooms have their own bathing area. Didn’t try the pool as the temperature was cool (it was only May). Hotel is in the resort of Perissa. Plenty of restaurants and small bars but Perissa itself is a tad disappointing. We caught the boat taxi to Kamari (€8 per person each way and approx 10 min) one day and that has a nicer feel to it. Visiting Oia and Fira are a must. The sights are beautiful. Cruise tourists galore so the customary queueing for the perfect snaps are inevitable. We used the buses which can get busy but quite frequent. €2.50 from Perissa to Fira and a further €2 from Fira to Oia (you have to change at Fira) Bus exchange at Fira is hectic and buses reversing into groups of people so beware There is no bar area in the hotel however there is a price list for a limited choice of drinks. Dorians bar is very popular and just at the end of the street. €7 per cocktail there and a large choice Overall, a lovely little Greek treasure and a thoroughly relaxing holiday. Would definitely return. Thank you Yanna and Panos

On Thursday, the 10th of July,my wife and I flew to Santorini and couldn't wait to check into our chosen apartments,Meltemi Suites. On arrival from the 40ish minutes from the airport ,we were dropped outside Meltemi Village and were left looking around to see what happens next. Seconds later, Yanna appeared and kindly gave us easy direction to the apartments. We made the 100m walk to the apartments and entered the reception. In reception, we were courteously welcomed by Panos. He checked us in easily and quickly and then offered to assist with our heavy cases. A perfect start. Our room, room 13, was lovely. A 4x poster bed, plenty of space, all perfectly clean. The A/C was a cool welcome out of the heat. After we unpacked, we called out to the nearest shop for some water and other bits before returning to explore further. Yanna had arrived on our return, and that is where our relationship with Yanna and Panos began The first morning for breakfast was lovely. There is plenty of selection from fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt with multiple toppings. Cereal, omelette, bacon, eggs fried or scrambled, beans. Little pastries add to the selection. There was plenty of fruit juice, tea,and coffee, which was a nice start to the day. There was never a shortage of food from 08:00 to 10:00 when it finishes. Yanna and Panos were always there to chat or simply say good morning. Towels are available from Panos and Yanna for the sunbeds if required, but I always pack our own, so we didn't need them. The pool was a delight. It's very nice for cooling out of the hot sun. There are plenty of sunlounges to go around for everyone. The upper apartment 13 had a plunge pool that was refreshing, too. Used every day for relaxing after either day of lounging or a day of exploring. A few days later, I asked Panos if there was an umbrella we could use on our terrace as my wife suffers in the heat. He thought for a few seconds and came up with a plan! I followed him to the basement, and he found a little umbrella, the type you fit in a hole in the middle of a garden table. He came upstairs with some fasteners and attached it to the fence. Perfect, what a star. On Monday 14th my wife and I decided to visit the Archaeological site at Akrotiri. We spoke to Yanna for some advice, and the information she gave us couldn't have been easier, brilliant. Sadly, the day before we flew home, my wife caught a bug, and I needed advice. I spoke to Yanna, and she called us a doctor to check my wife out. That is what I call a service that is above and beyond, and we're both very grateful for her assistance. I could give lots more praise but I'm going to now simply say that Yanna and Panos are the heart and soul of Meltemi Suites, the kindest most helpful people you could ask for, and we can't wait to go back.

A beautiful hotel where Yanna and Pannos made us feel incredibly welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely, especially Yanna's omlettes! the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. Great location, close to bars, restaurants, and public transport. We had a fantastic stay, will return. Thank you!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a genuine smile and a warm welcome from Yana. Yana immediately set the tone for a lovely experience. She was not only attentive and professional but also incredibly kind and personable, making us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. She gave great recommendations on where to eat and places to see. Yana was the reason behind our great experience in Santorini. Can’t wait to come back here again and see you soon Yana x
