We stayed here on a bed and breakfast basis for 10 nights. First impressions of our ground floor room overlooking the pool were disappointing, as it is quite basic and the bathroom is in need of updating. However, it is impeccably clean, and ALL the staff are friendly and helpful. Our maid Ariela was a gem, nothing was too much trouble and she greeted us every day with a cheerful smile and a chat. There were always plenty of sunbeds available at all times of the day, and lots of shade and parasols. The pool area is quiet with low key music. Yes there are planes going over the hotel coming in to land at the airport which is only 10 minutes away, but you soon get used to them and they weren't arriving through the night. The breakfast was lovely, fresh and plentiful. Both cold meats and cheeses, hot bacon and eggs, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and breads. We had lunch a couple of times and that was lovely too. The hotel is just a short walk to the beach front with so many excellent restaurants to choose from. Sunbeds and parasols were available for free as long as you purchase food or drink from the restaurant at the back of it. There is a well stocked supermarket next door to the hotel. Kamari, compared to the rest of Santorini, is quite flat and you can easily walk from one end of the resort to the other along the seafront. We booked a days bus tour of the island with Kamari Tours, through reception at the hotel. It was a long and tiring day but we got to see everything of this beautiful island, including Fira and Oia with an amazing sunset whilst eating a lovely meal. It wasn't an expensive tour and was well worth it to see everything. We travelled with Jet2 and had booked a private transfer but to be honest the hotel was so close to the airport that I'm sure it wouldn't have taken the hour transfer on the coach that they had said. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and we would not hesitate to return to this hotel in the future.
