We spent four nights here in August with our two children (4&2 years old). The accommodation is beautiful, the breakfast tastes delicious despite the small selection. The staff are very friendly. There is no water in the rooms. The fridge in the room is very small and only suitable for cooling drinks. Lunch and dinner in the area are rather difficult and we therefore went to Pistoia every day.

For all that the staff was lovely and very welcoming, this place just came up a but short. Our suite was on the ground floor—dark and the ac worked better in the living room than in our bedroom. Spotlessly clean but lacking in details. No shelving in the closet, there was o single armchair rather than a sofa…internet was so spotty we had to hang by the window to send email. The small kitchenette was super basic…though the fridge was adequate. The outdoor part of the property is beautiful but there is not a comfortable chair to sit on—other than at the pool, which was forbidden to us as we travel with a small dog. There was a dog fee (not significant) but no bowl or dog bed was provided. The breakfast was inadequate. The “cornetti” (croissants) were not fresh, we has one of the worst latte macchiato ever…not much fruit. In general, not what we expected from a place at this price point. We had to pay extra for daily cleaning—which we did. The location is frankly inconvenient. A car is required to go anywhere and there are not many restaurants nearby, though the one recommended by the staff (Ristorante Alessandro) was excellent. The reception is closed between 1pm and 2.30pm. We lost our key and had to wait for someone to return. Make sure you know the receptions hours so you do not have to wait. Overall, we would not choose this location again.
