bed comfortable as all paradors are. Staff excellent. But this hotel is too contemporary to be a Parador. Bar/lounge is a room with simple table and chairs with no atmosphere at all. Rooms small and bathroom not up to standard. The drive to get up here is VERY hairy. One hour to drive 20 km.

This Parador is in the most amazing location. So tranquil. A steep winding road to get to the Parador which is set amongst pine trees. This was a wonderful relaxing stay. Pool area and grounds are lovely. A drink on the terrace before dinner is just heavenly. The rooms are a little functional but that wasn't a problem. The food in the restaurant was lovely. Good, old fashioned service. It's like stepping back in time.

A parador that is situated at a splendid location. Hiking in the surroundings is a real pleasure. The swimming pool is very nice and the garden really beautiful!

We loved staying here. We were so close to nature and it was so peaceful. The staff were extremely helpful and food in the restaurant was excellent.

This is a luxurious, historic hotel in a beautiful, remote area with spectacular views. The staff and service are excellent, and the food is very good. The room we had was a bit small and dark - this could just be the nature of the architecture, but other rooms may have more light and may will have a view. Meals and drinks on the terrace overlooking the mountains was memorable.

A truly beautiful location with wonderful staff (mostly!). Peace and tranquility in abundance. The hotel needs some TLC and updating. Our bedroom (18) was dated with tired furnishings. The bathroom had a lot of mould in the shower. It smelled damp and musty as a result. The check-in experience was fantastic from Manuela who clearly loves her job. The food (dinner) was acceptable but could have been hotter. All the staff were excellent ambassadors to the hotel apart from Seville (last name) who was obnoxious and clearly found all diners a nuisance! Breakfast was good. Check-out very friendly and efficient.

We had a great stay here. Some people have commented about the road along to the hotel but we found it fine and it was always our plan to park the car there and do walks from the hotel. The reception staff, on this occasion a female but the male staff member is equally as nice were lovely. Plenty of parking at the hotel. We had a superior room so good size, plenty of space and storage, nice windows and good view of the pool, gardens and hills beyond. We were half board. The food got progressively better as the days passed. The Sunday night, starter was good but both main dishes were lukewarm to be kind, dessert was good, next night food was warming up and by Tuesday night hurrah, dinner was hot. There is a good selection, the best main was the pork. Breakfast is very good, with a good selection. The staff are all very pleasant at breakfast and dinner, the guy with the beard who does, bar, restaurant and sometimes breakfast was particularly good. Again different chef, different standards, scrambled eggs on the Tuesday, nicely presented, Monday and Wednesday, chucked on a plate and on the Wednesday hardly beaten with big bits of egg yolk through it, Tuesdays chef if it’s someone different is definitely better. We did some long walks from the hotel, there is so much to explore in the national park, the scenery is beautiful. I really enjoyed our stay, I enjoyed the food even if there was the odd thing, staff were great, scenery amazing and it felt a special place, nice to be away from towns and cities.
