I recently stayed two nights at Debaines Hotel, primarily for a creative production project — but the experience went far beyond work. Nestled in Santiago’s historic center, next to the iconic Teatro Municipal, Debaines offers a rare blend of architectural elegance, cultural immersion, and contemporary sophistication. The rooms are quiet, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful details. From TOTO Japanese spa bidets to curated Chilean photography on the walls, every element speaks of quality and intention. Debaines is more than a hotel — it’s an experience. The Gran Café is perfect from morning to late evening, offering Chilean classics with a European twist. Meanwhile, Copper Room, their fine-dining space, revives the spirit of Santiago’s grand salons with seasonal menus and a 100% Chilean wine list. What sets Debaines apart is its commitment to the local — not just in products and cuisine, but in spirit. It celebrates the city and its culture, inviting guests to slow down and rediscover downtown Santiago with fresh eyes. Highly recommended for travelers looking for design, soul, and substance — or locals wanting a staycation with meaning.

Beautiful fairly new hotel which was greatly appreciated after walking the dirty graffitied streets of Santiago. Luxurious bathroom and comfortable super king bed. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant and the hotel staff were consistently helpful. Two issues we had: there no sheet on the bed. We were too hot with the duvet but too cold without it. We put the aircon on low (even then was a bit noisy) but was much the same. I hope this gets remedied.

What a wonderful hotel. The staff is hospitable and eager to help with anything you need. They speak excellent English too. The location of the hotel was close to shopping and restaurants, and within walking distance to Cerro Santa Lucia and the Bellavista neighborhood. The room itself was spacious - even for two adults and a child. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows were nice. This was probably the cleanest room I stayed at in Chile. The TV channels were even offered in English. Took advantage of the luggage storage and it was easy to use. The included continental breakfast was a surprise - there was so much food, it was a feast! Fresh fruit, cereals, breads, and spreads. Dinner at the restaurant was good and had fair pricing too with nice size portions. They did offer to set up airport transfer for us prior to our stay but we already had arrangements made. Highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Debaines Hotel was truly exceptional. Opened in December 2024(according to the hotel), this relatively new hotel is still under the radar, but it deserves much more attention. Our family stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The rooftop bar was not yet open during our visit, but the hotel offered outstanding service in many other areas. If I return to Santiago, I would definitely consider staying here again. (Pls note that some services may vary depending on availability.) Location: Perfectly situated in the heart of the city, the hotel is within walking distance of major historical sites, markets, and local attractions. Room: We booked a king room and were initially concerned about space for a family of 3. However, the hotel kindly provided an extra bed at no additional charge, which made our stay very comfortable. Bathroom: The bathroom features a separate bathtub and shower, along with a brand-new TOTO washlet. Breakfast & Dining: The complimentary continental breakfast was surprisingly generous and well-prepared. We also dined at the hotel one evening, and the dinner was very enjoyable. The hotel also provided fresh fruit and bottled water in our room, which was a nice gesture. Staff: The staff were exceptionally warm and helpful. They offered great local tips, arranged taxis, and even allowed us a late check-out, which was incredibly helpful given our late-night flight. Housekeeping was prompt and efficient, with our room always cleaned during our breakfast time.

I only review if I'm asked and they asked me. I originally put a 2 star rating but changed it to 3 after I wrote this (2.5 would be where I would put this stay). It was average for a non-luxury hotel. I've learned that this is a new hotel so I can see myself giving this another try once the wrinkles are sorted out. 1. The service was very professional, fast and friendly. Almost too good, where it started to be a little stressful. Any time I was on the main floor, I was being closely watched/followed. I think it was to be ready if I had any questions. They welcomed us very elegantly with a welcome drink and helped us register before bringing our bags up to our room. 2. The location is very central to many things and a short walk to many attractive tourist sites and nice neighborhoods. Directly outside the hotel almost seemed like the hotel was a bit ahead of its time (while gentrification was happening). My wife was looking for a coffee at night and they were a little afraid of her going out alone. There was no such feeling at our previous hotel in the Vitacura area. 3. It was a luxury hotel as advertised, but mainly on the surface. Service, definitely luxury, but the beds were the hardest that I've ever slept on and I stay at a LOT of hotels. It hurt to lie in them too long. Also, for whatever reason, my room was not getting hot water. The first day was just warm and the day that I had to rush to leave, it was completely cold. I told them on my way out, so to be fair, I didn't give them a chance to fix this. The room was on the smaller side, but everything we needed was there and it was very clean and comfortable. 4. Went to the restaurant 2x. Once for a late meal. We were the only ones there and we came just before closing. They were happy to serve us and there was no rush. The food was fair priced and was of good taste/quality. We also had breakfast one day before a tour. We were in a rush, but they did an excellent job with service. 5. Room service - there were no issues. The room was taken care off by the staff really well. 6. Communication - They got on top of things very quickly. An odd incident, we were waiting to speak to the desk and were behind an angry customer. It looked like they were overreacting, but we didn't know or care what he was complaining about (it just went on for some time). The person serving this man was very professional in taking care of his matters. Although, when we came to the desk, he went on to almost apologize for the scene and tried to explain the situation. We just wanted to get what we needed and not be part of the drama. Overall my rating is low mainly because of the bed and cold water. It was a pleasant place to stay otherwise and I do believe that they will improve over time. If I go back, I would consider them if I wanted to be closer to town, otherwise I much preferred the Vitacura neighborhood (much better restaurants, safety) and the hotel that I stayed in while out th

First let me start by saying that I don’t leave reviews, but I feel obligated to write a review about this hotel and the entire team (Nicholas, Felipe, Mauricio, and so many more). As two single women traveling to the city for the first time, we couldn’t have asked for a better hotel. They arranged airport pick up and drop off. They suggested fabulous restaurants (e.g. peumayne, bocanariz) and arranged all our daytime activities along with transportation. The continental breakfast was delicious. The room was sizable and the decor is 10/10 (I’m obsessed with the art work in the hotel). I would suggest this hotel to anyone and will definitely be back on my return trip to Santiago —- and if you’re reading this, you should definitely book your room now! This hotel and its staff are GEMS!

I was extremely fortunate to stay in this wonderful hotel on my recent visit to Santiago. The hotel is fantastic, in a great location and with exceptional staff. From my first email communications with Luis on Reception, prior to arrival, to enquire about arranging transport to the hotel from the sea port in San Antonio until my departure the service was excellent - every single member of the team I interacted with was very helpful and extremely customer focused. The room was very well designed with a great bed and the breakfast was perfect to set me up for the day. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santiago and will definitely return on my next visit.
