Mixed review really, we had a good time but being honest: I'll start with the cons! Not enough smoking areas, can't smoke on the balcony but we did (had a portable ashtray!) No seating outside when the pool area closes in the evening. 1 choice of cocktail during the day and night unless you pay €6.50. limited food options, not much for those who struggle with food. Iron/board pay extra. Hangers only one side of the wardrobe and it's separated into two so take hangers. The piano bar smoking area could do with some chairs and tables they don't allow you to take them out. Only one ramp in reception and no ramp in piano bar or to the pool for wheelchairs or the disabled. Smells of sewerage outside now and again. Can't reach loo roll so put it on the glass shelf! Cleaners are very noisy, slamming wardrobe doors and scraping furniture on the floor. One bar person in the evening, could do with 2 when entertainment is on. pros tea/coffee making but then you have to pay once you've used what's there, we took our coffee sashes. Fridge, shower with shower gel, air con in bedroom and living room. Close to a beach and shops, 5 minutes walk. Comfortable beds. Junior suite is quite large. All staff are helpful and friendly. Live singers are good but only on for an hour! Lots of British people. Very clean everywhere in and around the hotel. Evening entertainment was ok but timings don't match the information board and sometimes change but we didn't mind. €1 for the plastic cup, we got 2 each and you get your money back when you've finished with them, they take the used ones and pour drinks into clean cups. Overall we enjoyed our holiday but we like to try different places each time we go abroad.

Fabulous hotel. A little far from airport but what a find.. was a bit hesitant as had stayed in a sister hotel Blue Sea Ficos Lanzarote in Oct 24/ . But no need. Staff/entertainment/food and rooms all fabulous. Rooms cleaned daily with clean towels supplied daily.

The bed is lovely, good size and comfortable with lots of pillows. That’s where the good bits finish. Arrived in the evening. No drinking water or milk for coffee in the room. Food was terrible. If it wasn’t eaten then was re served over and over. “Hot food” was tepid. No seasoning or flavour. The mojo sauce was getting thinner and thinner by the end of the week where it was watered down. The pool area didn’t open until 10am and you weren’t allowed to sit by the outside bar or the pool until 10!! The pool area was cleaned every morning at 8am. So don’t expect a lay in… they were not quiet. You are required to pay a €1 for a plastic cup. Keep them with you or house keepers will take them. Towels left in the bath were ignored. Cups in the room were not washed or changed all week. Elana tried her best with the entertainment but it was like sitting in a nursing home. And drinking from a plastic beaker just tops it off. Wine was not great. Juice came from a packet under the machine I completed the survey via email but nothing was mentioned on check out. Honestly not worth the money. Ours was two friends on a lazy break in the sun!! Just glad the weather didn’t disappoint

We got a room on the second floor. The hotel room was large, with a separate bedroom and living room, plus a spacious balcony overlooking the island of La Gomera. There was a kettle and a refrigerator in the room. The beds were comfortable and wide. The rooms were cleaned every day. We had a package with breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious and the choice was rich. Various meat dishes, seafood, pasta, vegetable dishes, salads. Fresh fruit and desserts. We liked the location of the hotel, on a quiet street near the sea. There was no street noise. It was nice to walk along the Puerto de Santiago beach promenade, enjoying the sea views, foamy waves and black coastal cliffs. The mornings began with birdsong and in the evenings we enjoyed the sunsets on the hotel room balcony. During the day we often used the hotel pool area, because it was windy on the beach by the ocean. The hotel staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed our vacation at this hotel. The price level was reasonable and in line with the service. Some details could use some updating, but that wasn't a problem for us.

After 3 years of staying at Blue Sea every January, we would say it perfectly meets our needs for long stay winter getaways. Sea views spectacular, walking distance to beach. Spotlessly clean in every area, very comfortable beds, friendly staff, food more than adequate. We find it quiet & entertainment noise stops early. Bus stops near to get to anywhere on the island. Bathrooms could do with an upgrade i.e. shower curtains are not our thing so screens would be much better, but for a very reasonable cost this is a minor grumble And it’s lovely meeting up with fellow travellers who are spending a winter break here in the sun

Stayed for a week AI.. Here is our honest opinion of the hotel.. Pool area is far too small for amount of guests, sunloungers are crammed next to each other like sardines! We went to the roof terrace to sunbathe but looks like they offset old & tatty loungers & other poolside furniture up there so not good either. There is no area outside just to sit and relax. Restaurant food was plentiful but not enough staff so seemed to be self clearing of tables. Rueban the entertainment guy tried his best to involve guests but same stuff bingo, karaoke or just music. The rooms were spacious although if your given one at the back of hotel it's very noisy, bins on both sides of street so constant rubbish strewn on pavements. A local bar opposite open til early hours. Hotel is in a residential area and a short walk away there is a handful of shops. We wouldn't return to hotel or Santiago , it's just not "our cup of tea"!!

We stayed in a junior suite which had two bedrooms, bathroom and living room. The beds where comfy. Extra pillows requested and delivered to room, promptly. Double room was spacious with plenty of storage. The single room was a little cramped, but there was storage space in the boiler cupboard. Rooms were a little tired and could do with a bit of redecoration, but on the whole more than adequate. Large balcony with pull out drier rail. We stayed on an all inclusive basis. The food was well cooked and tasty. We did find that if we went down for dinner or breakfast a little later during the service, that the food was not replenished very often, so choices where somewhat limited. Pool snack bar consisted of slices of bread, cold meat and cheese, and biscuits, so very limited. We ate out a few times, as there were plenty of restaurants to choose from within easy walking distance. Bar had a good choice, but only served drinks in plastic reusable cups, one Euro deposit required for a cup. Wine glasses were available in the restaurant, but we were not allowed to take these out to the bar. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful. Christmas Day lunch in the restaurant was lovely and the staff really made it special. Extra special mention for Reuban (Animation), who worked tirelessly, making sure we all had a great time and kept us entertained. Also a thank you to Bryan, pool bar, bar and restaurant, whose cheerfulness, knew no bounds, he was great.
