All perfect and clean. Quiet and easy parking in the same street. We missed a toaster, but generally everything like in the photos. Very easy entry to the building by a code without keys. We will repeat safely.

Old Town
The hotel itself is also a scenic spot, right next to the church. It is easy to get lost in the back-shaped corridor, so you must find a good direction first when you get out of the elevator. Every corner of the hotel is decorated in a very simple and simple way. If you don't arrange anything for a day, you can just stay in the hotel. In the middle of the week when it is not the peak season, the room was already ready for check-in at 8:00 in the morning. It was a surprise, so I quickly took a shower and went out refreshingly. The breakfast is also very good. Although the breakfast room is not big, it is well arranged.

Old Town
We come for the atmosphere, as this authentic place is so special to stay in. It was once a seminary, so to get the full experience it's best to spend several nights here. We always ask for the rooms that are just for 2 people (as some are pilgrim rooms with bunk begs, so check when booking) It's quite basic which is fine & the same can be said for the dining (breakfast & dinner, served in the old refectory) but that's all part of the experience. Location could not be better as it's facing the Cathedral of St James in the centre of the old city. It's really good value & it's a great place to meet interesting people from all walks of life & all parts of the world. This year the only thing that was not quite there was the lounge/coffee area was still closed (after the pandemic) & as this is the area where everywhere mixes after some very weary travelling to swap stories, well...we missed it. Otherwise all was really good as usual!

Old Town
We stayed here at the end of our camino. The rooms were perfect to relax and recuperate after a long trek. Clearly recently refurbished the fittings are great and the rooms were very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean worth plenty of space and a good quality shower. It's at the edge of the old town so a bit of a walk down town but this also means it's peaceful and quiet for a great night's sleep! The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The ideal place to recover

As others have said, this hotel falls short of a 5 star luxury property. Reception staff not particularly friendly, with no information given about the facilities. The room, classed as superior, was their basic room. The bedroom area was quite small, the bathroom was fine, but disappointed not to have a walk-in shower. We had to ask for robes and slippers, clearly shown on their website photos. There was indeed a strange fusty smell along the second floor corridors. We went down to use the spa, to discover that the sauna and steam room were not switched on and had to wait for them to heat up. Breakfast was very good, with a large variety to choose from, but no-one at the door to greet you. We ordered fresh pancakes but they were cold when served to us.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are comfortable. The location is next to the city stadium, the surrounding greenery is good, and there are plenty of parking spaces. But there is a little distance from the ancient city of San Diego, which takes 5 minutes to drive.
