Basic but good value, clean and convenient location for bus and train station, 20 min walk to Cathedral. Limited reception opening hours. Friendly helpful staff. We stayed one night before getting an early train. No complaints.

We stayed at the pension. Super small room for three. Only 1 plug. Very hot and inability to open windows due to the noise (they overlooked a covered central patio). Bugs in the beds when we got up. Paper walls, it seemed like the people in the hallway were inside the room.

The Rey Fernando hotel is a guesthouse in an excellent location in Santiago de Compostela: just 5 minutes from the train/bus station and 15 minutes from the famous Cathedral. Located on the sixth floor, it can be reached by two lifts or via stairs. Having 2 stars, it is a basic structure that I do not recommend to those who have excessive demands for comfort. The furniture in the room is classic as well as the bathroom (new) has a very limited courtesy kit. The general cleanliness satisfied me. Friendly reception staff. Medium-high prices but it is one of the cheapest structures with private bathroom.
