Cubanacan Casa Granda
4.6/542 Reviews
We had a great stay at this hotel. Daina, the attentive receptionist, went above and beyond, even noting my birthday, which the staff celebrated. We met the warmhearted manager, Christian from Costa Rica, who took photos and arranged a birthday cake. Alexei, the security man, was fantastic, offering restaurant recommendations and escorting us safely. The staff deserves 5 stars. However, the rooms needed maintenance; ours was dark with non-functional lamps, and the bathroom's low shower pressure needs improvement. Despite this, we had a comfortable stay and highly recommend Casa Granda for its location, live salsa music, and excellent staff.
Meliá Santiago de Cuba

Very clean rooms, beautiful swimming pool and lovely, friendly and helpful staff. The food offer is also very good considering this is Cuba and shortages of different things are common. We stayed on the 10th floor in ”The Level” rooms, and got bottled water every day as well as practical items to help with being out and about such as packets of tissues to take out with us (not everywhere, including museums and restaurants, have toilet paper all of the time!) We had an excellent time here, and would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Santiago de Cuba.
