Great location looking directly out onto a small beach although not all rooms have a view of the sea. There is private parking but also plenty of free municipal parking in San Juan de la Canal. A footpath running past the front of the property leads directly to the cliff tops and affords stunning views of the dramatic coastline and access to several small, undeveloped beaches within a range of a couple of miles. The rooms are reasonable and, although a little old fashioned, offer most of the expected facilities. There is plenty of hot water but the showers are also a little primitive. However, this is definitely a B&B and not a hotel. The *********** site created some confusion as it seemed to indicate that a 'full english/ irish' breakfast was included; however, it is extra. The village of San Juan doesn't have much to offer apart from the beach and cliff tops. However, there is a beach-style restaurant and an ice cream parlour and it's not far to a selection of other cafes and restaurants back in Corban. This is also where the #2 bus can be taken for transport into the centre of Santander. The owner offered some useful advice and visits the property regularly - although key delivery is sometimes via a coded lock box.
