There is a elegant, old-world charm to this hotel that immediately put me at ease. I arrived early off the ferry but the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating - providing me with coffee and a croissant on the lovely terrace while my room was prepared. The room itself was clean, simple and classic - polished wooden floors, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows - so airy and bright. The bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious which I enjoyed looked out across the beautiful garden. Top marks from me and a big thank you to all the staff!

This hotel is special because it has a huge yard in the middle of a busy city. Unfortunately, given the heat wave without air conditioning the room was hot and noisy in a busy urban area. Breakfast was less special than I expected from the write up; the hotel is on the grounds of a hospitality training grounds.

stayed here many times prior to getting the ferry from santander. Always a very pleasant stay, great location, friendly and welcoming staff.

I will get to the point. Positive -the location in quiet. -the hotel itself is quite beautiful. Negative -reception personal is not accommodating and to be frank just rude. Example: they wanted to make copies of our passports (unfortunately still common in Spain at smaller hotels). We politely informed them that this is not only illegal (GDPR laws) but also unnecessary. A hotel just has to verify names in passport, no copies necessary. They reacted very hostile to this and it took some convincing that they only copy passports with all other parts (like social security number etc) covered with papers. -they ask €8 euro parking fee per night while there is ample room and parking spaces. For every guest times two. This is just a scam. -the location of the hotel is 30-45 min walk from the center, the nice bars or restaurants. Of course you could know this upfront when you research the hotel. Same goes for airco, which is not present. -the rooms are very noisy. It is an old building and you can hear the people 2 rooms down the hall. I just cannot recommend this hotel.

Our stay went very well. However, the bar which is normally open until 11 p.m. was only accessible for non-alcoholic drinks, the specialist being absent! We stayed 5 nights!
The restaurant has been closed since the pandemic.
Furthermore, the bedroom floor creaks at the slightest step! Damage!
Regarding the parking, it is private but never closed. People from outside the hotel cross it as well as the hotel grounds which are also private.

El hotel es ideal para qued**** en la ciudad. El personal extremadamente amable desde principio a fin: nos dieron recomendaciones sobre qué hacer en Santander y el día de salida nos permitieron sin problema dejar las maletas hasta la hora que quisiéramos para no tener que cargar con ellas en nuestro último día. Las habitaciones están impecables, camas amplísimas, baños muy cómodos y vistas espectaculares al jardín. El servicio de habitaciones también estupendo. Por otra parte, el desayuno buffet muy completo y en un salón súper agradable y cálido. Un 10 en todo, repetiremos seguro porque dudo que exista en Santander un hotel mejor en relación calidad-precio.
