ForFriends Inn Wine Country Bed and Breakfast

And yet again another great stay at For Friends Inn. We have been guests (feels like great friends) of the inn for several years and we come back to visit Dave, Katie, Spencer, Carolyn, and Vanessa at least twice a year. There has not been a more welcoming and RELAXING experience that we have ever had in our various travels than For Friends Inn. You are welcomed when entering the warm reception area, you are greeted with kindness and hospitality when checking in. The rooms ( we’ve stayed in several of them) as well as the bungalow's each have their own nuances and we’ve enjoyed each one. From the very fun daily Happy Hour especially fun when Dave is there to sing, to the amazing breakfasts from Sandra and Vanessa ( who are so kind), and the enjoyment of wine country with excellent food choices within walking distance. The review is long but there is so much to say about enjoying a non-corporate hotel chain who appreciates their patrons. For Friends Inn creates such a special experience for each of their guests and is welcoming to all. I highly recommend you stay. Once you do you will be back.

wonderful stay at for friends Inn…great breakfast and wonderful happy hour with live music….they serve wine from local vineyards! nice room with big balcony looking at the mountains. great location you can walk to restaurants and a few wineries!

Have stayed here several times but finally got to stay 3 nights! Got to enjoy all the perks, wonderful breakfast, fun happy hour with wine nibbles and music. As well as all the friendly faces here. Never got in the car after happy hour as downtown Santa Ynez is right there, with great restaurants, bars and shops. Cannot recommend ForFriends more highly. So relaxing and welcoming. This place is a must!

Located on Edison Street in the heart of Santa Ynez, ForFriends Inn is an 8-room bed & breakfast centered around a beautiful Craftsman-style main house. My wife and I spent two nights there during late February 2025. We were in the Brick Barn room, which I understand is the smallest room at the Inn. It was, however, beautifully appointed and definitely spacious enough for my wife and me. The king bed was extremely comfortable, there was a large walk-in closet, and a huge bathroom with an impressive shower. Everything in the room (lights, heater, air conditioner, wireless Internet, flat screen television, etc.) worked the way it was supposed to. The only downside was that there were no USB ports, so if you can’t do without your electronic devices, be sure to bring your own wall chargers. Among the highlights of our stay were the delightful breakfasts. Every morning you have a choice between bacon and eggs and the daily special. On the two mornings we were there the specials were avocado toast and breakfast tacos. Their wine and charcuterie happy hour was also fun; one evening, Dave (the owner) brought his guitar and performed live music for the guests. Everyone who worked there went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience, so we are delighted to give ForFriends Inn our highest recommendation.

The bungalows are beautiful, beds are super comfortable, bathroom is clean & walk in shower has great water pressure. The kitchenette has a good sized refrigerator, microwave, sink, cabinets with dishes, keurig coffee maker with coffee pods, & various tea bags if you like tea. The veranda has rocking chairs if you want to relax outside with a glass of wine, & a table with chairs, if you want to eat Al fresco. One of the best parts is the bungalows are within walking distance to town where there are shops, restaurants, & wine tasting!

This is our second time here and we absolutely love it. The owner was phenomenal, the rooms were great and super comfortable, the staff was amazing, it's a great location. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when in the area. You should stop your search and book here now!
