I came here with my family last September with my partner and 2 year old son, we stayed here for two weeks half board. Hotel was nice, food was nice also. Would definitely stay again and would recommend. Entertainment wasn’t that great but great access to the beach as not far from the hotel.

Even 1 star is being generous for this hotel! Avoid like the plague!!!! Dirty, food is terrible, staff rude and entertainment terrible. Lots of locals who clearly dislike the English!

Well where do I start reception was very very rude when we arrived wasn't helpfull at all normally we just have to show our booking on lime this place wanted a hard copy that I had to send them and then they wasn't happy about it not very good English spoken so made this even harder finely got our pass for the room witch we had to keep having changed as it kept locking us out the room. Food well if your Spanish or don't have picky eaters then your fine nothing but chips that the children would eat food was always cold and blan There was ants all over the place and several times we had to ask to have our drinks changed as when they was making them there was ants in the glass Entertainment was all Spanish nothing English or anything for the children kids club wasn't open As an English family we was really made to feel isolated and left out and with the weather being horrible and nothing for the children to do we spent most of our time in our dirty dated rooms Sun beds half of them was broken the cleaners only done a quick bed make when asked for the room to be cleaned bins wasn't emypted. We was up at 5am every morning with the workers using the lifts witch wad very noise Over all this isn't a 4 star hotel I wouldn't evan give it a 2 star stay clear we won't be staying there again

The hotel was very clean. Our room was cleaned daily, we had fresh towels and bed linen daily. Our beds were comfortable. On to the food which for us wasnt very good..most food was cold (theres a microwave) ! We didnt recognise a lot of the food served, there were no labels.. The catering was mainly for the Spanish people, fair enough we're in Spain....but we had paid just like them and hardly had any choice.. Breakfasts were cold, eg. Cold Bacon and eggs, thats if there were any eggs on the day, half the week there was No Eggs ! Lunch and Evening meals were very samey (didnt recognise most of it ) . We're not fussy eaters. Plates were often dirty ! Greasy, some with smears of food on them. We cleaned our own.. Some staff members were very rude and ignorant to us. I dont think they like English people. Some were fine though. Entertainment was for the Spanish...lots of line dancing !!! We are 5 ladies between 58 and 65, we are well mannered and were upset with the way we were treated.. Wont be going there again !!! No way should it be a 4 star...2 star is more suited to that hotel..

Staff are very rude and they barely speak any English and they don’t even make the smallest effort to communicate or help you. sun beds all broken . Breakfast very poorly quality, all foods processed only, almost nothing freshly made, lots of pastries but never fresh , it was like they got whatever was left on a bakery a week ago. Not good customer service, it says it’s a 4star hotel , in my opinion it’s worth 2 star.

The hotel is so outdated and let me tell you it’s never a 4 star hotel. It’s a 1 star all day long. I think the rooms were last updated/decorated back in the 70’s. It’s a good job the train station is opposite to get into Barcelona as this was the saving of our trip. DO NOT STAY in this hotel unless and cannot afford anything better. Every night it was just full of proper drunken people arguing towards the end of the night. It was like a scene from Shamless every night

The worst hotel ive ever stayed in. We arrived at the hotel check in very late at night and was meet by a very rude German receptionists, who made us wait for almost 20 min to check In. It was a very long and unnecessary process of fitting wristbands while he was huffing and puffing at my very tired children. When we eventually got to our room they were very nice and pleasant. The next morning we went down for our all inclusive breakfast, to be meet with cold unlabeled food and covered in flies. So breakfast went well. This pretty much was all of the hotels meals, breakfast dinner and lunch.so we thought we would try the hotels snack bar, I use the term very loosely as it was hardly ever open and when it was, every day they had somethimg missing form the menu and they only had 4 items on it, when I did get a burger it was an anemic slab of cold something served in a hotdog roll, which was pretty much Inedible,so I though I'd try the gym, the gym was never open it was always closed , on the 5th day of our holiday I returned to my room and found water poring through the ceiling on to the floor and all over my suit case I informed reception as we it was an emergency and we had a boat trip booked for that afternoon and need it sorted, we waited for almost 20 min with water still poring through the ceiling I went to reception again and was shrugged off saying someone would be their soon. I waited for another hour and still no one, I went to reception again and she called the cleaner. She arrived at the room maybe an hour and 20min after i reported it. She immediately got on the radio and the Maintenance man arrived we were then locked.on the balcony of our room for 15 to 20 min while they did some work on something in the ceiling they they then unlocked the door and in broken English said it would be fixed in one hour,he never returned and it turns out what he was fixing was the air-conditioning unit which didn't work for the remainder of our holiday and we were left with a hole in the ceiling for the remander of our holiday, once the maintenance man had left, I went to reception to see if I could use the hotels laundry to wash my clothes. They said that they could do it for me but nobody could do it until 11am the following morning, all my clothes and suitcase were soaked in dirty water and plasterboard type stuff, they told me to use the laundry which was a 20 min away and 40 euro taxi ride as well as 25 euro for the cleaning of my clothes, I was not a happy camper. As we had also missed our planned boat trip, the following day I left my key in my room by accident so wentthat rains to reception and asked for another key. When I said my room number she smirked almost mocked and said "Ahhh the room that rains" all in all a terrible hotel

I'll give as honest a review on this hotel as I can for a Yorkshireman, Stayed here for 10 nights bed and breakfast in september Santa Susanna itself as a location was everything we wanted but the hotel well the room was OK for what we wanted just to sleep in that's all its good for although it was cleaned every day its nothing sparkling, When you first approach the hotel through the main doors it looks Impressive but looks can be deceiving on approach to the reception 2.30 am in the morning the night staff only wanted our passports, hotel voucher and tourism tax payment no real welcome or pleasantries obviously a safe is a must but 35 euros plus 10 deposit I found a little extortionate. As for the food if you have picky eating kids there's not much choice as for adults most of the food is bland and unrecognisable ( take e tra money and eat out) not much is labelled to say what it is my other half thought she was eating a chicken leg and it turned out to be rabbit, seems they do a lot of rabbit on the menu, Pool was nice but hard to get a sunbed if they weren't occupied they were broken and unusable. We made a good holiday out of a bad hotel we would definitely go back to Santa Susanna just not back to this hotel which is a shame because if they put a bit of thought into customer care and did a few upgrades it would be a nice place instead of just taking people's money and not investing in little comforts like warm food There's mixed reviews on here and I gener5woukdnt give a bad one but come on Hotel Mercury have a bit of pride
