The Gables Wine Country Inn

Wonderful 2 days transported to the glamour of the Victorian era. The bedroom was very nicely decorated with antiques yet comfortable with modern amenities. One of the modern amenities was a Sound+Sleep device, which helped us sleep soundly to the sound of ocean waves. Pam and Larry are lovely people who treated us very well. They recommended a winnery [Croix], which offered free wine tasting to guests of The Gables. Croix Winnery gave us a VIP treatment, and their wines were so yummy that we ended up purchasing a case. The delicious breakfasts Pam and Larry cooked will stay in our minds forever. Definitely recommend The Gables -- we will stay here again.

My stay at the inn was perfect! Larry and Pam are the sweetest hosts. The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast both mornings was provided on time, in a gorgeous dining room. The food was warm, healthy and interesting in terms of flavors and locally sourced. I didn’t have to ask for water, more coffee, anything. It seamlessly appeared. I mentioned I like Pinot Noir and they gave me a bottle from a local vineyard to sample. It was delicious! The grounds, barn, original homestead have been maintained as originally built. I highly recommend the inn for a weekend getaway or longer stay. Larry and Pam provided me with information about the town of Santa Rosa based on my interest

Staying at a bed and breakfast was on my bucket list, so I was really looking forward to the experience staying at the Gables. I had a wonderful time with my husband as we celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. We were there with two other couples, newlyweds and a couple celebrating their 49th anniversary. The home was immaculate, so well designed with gorgeous period pieces and detail. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on - we stayed in the Brookside suite on the second floor with a lovely view of the creek. The hosts were congenial and we were treated so well. Everything was spotless at the home - not a speck of dust or dirt. It was a tremendous blend of modern amenities such as good lighting and USB ports for our phones, and a vintage Victorian sink with handpainted motif and beautiful clawfoot tub. I would highly recommend staying there. The breakfast was delicious and well thought out as well. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Nice place to stay outside Santa Rosa. It's an older historic building, worthwhile learning about for a glimpse into California history. Beds were comfortable. The rooms are not large, but adequate for a couple day stay. Access is really easy, much different than a hotel. There's a barn owl living the barn and they have nice vineyard that you can walk through.

Seriously unique incredible experience. Cozy and authentic with huge rooms and thoughtful amenities. Friendly and accommodating owners with great communication. Amazing communal style breakfasts with careful attention to dietary restrictions.

The Gables Wine Country INN is beautiful and inviting. Larry & Pam are hospitable host: professional, personable and accommodating with attention to detail. They both made us feel welcome, like we were staying with old friends. We felt at home. Facilities: Very quiet, inviting and comfortable The library and dining room show the history of the house with its Gothic Victorian circa 1887 Decorations of the period with beautiful high ceilings. The beds are dreamy, the dinning room table is set and ready for the king and queen. Food: Wow Our compliments to the chef’s! Such an incredible prepared breakfast each morning that included home made sourdough dough, bread, and apple bread. Absolutely fantastic team of Pam the baker and Larry the chef!! Breakfast is a true culinary experience! Larry & Pam go above and beyond with absolutely scrumptious breakfasts, that included homemade sourdough bread and apple bread. We are still drooling over Pam & Larry’s breakfast creations Dining room view: We watch the quail family meander through the lavender field while enjoy the culinary delights. Breakfast is hardy enough to get you through the day with all the hikes and winery tours in the nearby vineyards.
