The Gables Wine Country Inn

The Gables is a perfect home base for wine country adventures! Comfortable rooms in a very picturesque setting. Pam and Larry were incredible hosts, from making recommendations for places to visit to serving up delicious three course gourmet breakfasts. I don’t have a lot of experience with B&Bs but we stayed at three on this trip and The Gables had the best food and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit!

This bed and breakfast is one of the best my husband and I have stayed at. The owners, Larry and Pam made us feel so welcomed. The breakfast were incredible and took into account one of us is gluten free and the other dairy free. The grounds are beautiful and I loved morning coffee on their wonderful deck! Our room on the first floor was very spacious with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the advice and help from Larry and Pam on the selections of wineries to visit which made this unique trip. We hope to return soon.

If you need a get away from this crazy world you need to book your stay at The Gables Wine Country Inn. Each room is special and as soon as you enter this beautiful Victorian you know you are entering a magical place. You are amidst the vineyards, gardens and lavender. You await the chime of the gong knowing you will have the best 3 course breakfast ever. Home made scones and jams are mouthwatering and who knew apricots, almonds and honey could be such a delight. Larry the chef always has a special egg dish cooked to perfection and his wife Peggy is always there to take care of every need. Do not delay! You deserve to be pampered.

When I decided to visit wine country I knew a hotel would not do so I searched on alternatives and found The Gables. It was perfect! Charming accommodations, affable hosts, delicious breakfasts, great location, and the wine passport was a huge perk that we took advantage of. We truly enjoyed all aspects of our stay and if I find myself in the area again I would not even look at other places!

The Gables Wine Country Inn is a very special place. The location is great - midway between Sonoma, Healdsburg, and the Russian River Valley. Perfect for wine tasting! The Inn is a 1895 Victorian manor set in the countryside, but only 10 minutes from the charming Santa Rosa Plaza with lots of great restaurants and shops. Pam and Larry are wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable and helpful about the best vineyards and restaurants to visit. We looked forward every morning to their fabulous breakfasts. We will definitely stay here again.

We keep coming back here. Beautiful, and beautifully restored, old Victorian home. Check out the book in the parlor that recounts its history. It’s perfectly situated to serve as a home base for a wine tasting trip. We also stayed here when we attended the Cotati Accordion Festival. Larry and Pam are the perfect hosts. When we asked for a dinner recommendation, they made reservations and gave us printed directions to the restaurant. During this last recent visit, they hosted a grape stomp (inspired by the “I Love Lucy” episode); ‘twas a blast! But the best part is breakfast. Larry is an over-the-top foodie. Our first breakfast started with a home baked, white chocolate/black cherry, still warm scone. That was followed by a baked, spiced pear (home grown by the way, like many other ingredients), topped off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yes, breakfast with a dessert, before the main course even! During our last breakfast, Pam apologized that we were getting the same thing twice. She brought out Larry’s two-egg soufflé, which confused us, because we hadn’t had that for breakfast . . . during that trip. Turns out, they track what they’ve served their guests during past visits, so they never have the same thing twice. Truth be told, we’d be happy with that every breakfast. We’ll be back yet again! PS - If you have an electric car, they have two charging stations.

I recently stayed at this charming vintage bed and breakfast in wine country, and it was a delightful experience. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the hospitality was outstanding. Gourmet breakfasts featured locally sourced ingredients and were truly top-notch. Tea, hot chocolate, and ice were available, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The knowledgeable owners offered valuable insights about the area, enhancing our stay. The picturesque grounds provided a serene escape, and the team was flexible in accommodating after-hours needs. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast for a memorable getaway.

Pam and Larry were awesome hosts who went out of their way to insure we had the best time in Sonoma! We can't say enough how much we appreciated their attention to detail and to really make us feel like family. We highly recommend staying at the Gables Inn when you are in Sonoma!

We stayed in the Guest House which was really spacious, clean, and comfortable. It had a full kitchen and king bed. And the location was really convenient as well. There's so much to do in the Santa Rosa area. Perfect for a long weekend in wine country.
