Wonderful 2 days transported to the glamour of the Victorian era. The bedroom was very nicely decorated with antiques yet comfortable with modern amenities. One of the modern amenities was a Sound+Sleep device, which helped us sleep soundly to the sound of ocean waves. Pam and Larry are lovely people who treated us very well. They recommended a winnery [Croix], which offered free wine tasting to guests of The Gables. Croix Winnery gave us a VIP treatment, and their wines were so yummy that we ended up purchasing a case. The delicious breakfasts Pam and Larry cooked will stay in our minds forever. Definitely recommend The Gables -- we will stay here again.

My stay at the inn was perfect! Larry and Pam are the sweetest hosts. The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast both mornings was provided on time, in a gorgeous dining room. The food was warm, healthy and interesting in terms of flavors and locally sourced. I didn’t have to ask for water, more coffee, anything. It seamlessly appeared. I mentioned I like Pinot Noir and they gave me a bottle from a local vineyard to sample. It was delicious! The grounds, barn, original homestead have been maintained as originally built. I highly recommend the inn for a weekend getaway or longer stay. Larry and Pam provided me with information about the town of Santa Rosa based on my interest

Pam and Larry were incredibly welcoming. The room was perfect and the breakfast some of the best bed and breakfasts meals we have had. They were really helpful and knowledgeable about local wineries and restaurants. We even had a wonderful evening in the parlor after dinner.

My son, daughter-in-law, and I were in Sonoma for a family wedding, and we had the great good fortune to stay at The Gables Wine Country Inn. The Victorian-era house is beautiful, the beds are good, and the surroundings are stunning. It was wonderful to sit with a cup of coffee or glass of wine on the back deck/swing/hammocks and view the mountains, a small stand of redwood trees, and the tall sunflowers growing nearby. A short walk takes you to the inn's own vineyard and blackberry bushes! And then there are the breakfasts, which were, in a word, fabulous. Pam and Larry Willis are excellent hosts who gave us good advice on where to go and how to get there. This inn is a truly magical place.

Staying at a bed and breakfast was on my bucket list, so I was really looking forward to the experience staying at the Gables. I had a wonderful time with my husband as we celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary. We were there with two other couples, newlyweds and a couple celebrating their 49th anniversary. The home was immaculate, so well designed with gorgeous period pieces and detail. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept on - we stayed in the Brookside suite on the second floor with a lovely view of the creek. The hosts were congenial and we were treated so well. Everything was spotless at the home - not a speck of dust or dirt. It was a tremendous blend of modern amenities such as good lighting and USB ports for our phones, and a vintage Victorian sink with handpainted motif and beautiful clawfoot tub. I would highly recommend staying there. The breakfast was delicious and well thought out as well. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The rooms are decorated in Victorian style with many lovely antiques. Larry and Pam are wonderful hosts. They prepare excellent three course breakfasts and do everything possible to be helpful. Pam even packed me a to go breakfast for my early morning trip to SFO.
