A dreamy pool with a jaw-dropping views, amazing tropical birds, fantastic food, hot showers, very comfortable beds, most excellent cats & dogs, and quiet. I met the most amazing & interesting people here that I will remember forever. Unheard of in this day and age but Mundo Nuevo hires local people pays them a living wage and treats them like family. This means unparalleled customer service with a friendly sincere smile. Mundo Nuveo also strives to preserve and work with the Indigenous Culture, informative without being tourist-tacky. Romantic getaway or rest for the weary soul. Come, play, rest and stay for as long as you possibly can you won't regret A moment.

I love this place and the region. I come back almost every year, and the landscape, breathtaking views, trails, and charming hotel never fail to amaze me. Watching the sunset from the pool, located next to some original indigenous terraces, is sublime. The people are incredibly kind, and the hotel offers many cozy corners to relax and unwind. For the adventurous type, there’s also a broad catalog of activities available.

We stayed for 3 nights at Mundo Nuevo in Dec 24 - Jan 25, with 3 children (10, 9, 8 years old). The setting is unique, between the green lush mountains, with beautiful sunsets. We stayed in the room Flor, which was perfect for us as you have 2 rooms, 2 bedrooms, and a family outside area to enjoy the views. The staff is very kind and speaks English. We recommend the following activities: - Visit to the Plan B farm with Pim and Annie. For us this was the highlight - Pim is very knowledgeable and Annie cooks delicious dishes with ingredients straight from the farm. The tour was in Dutch (perfect for our kids) but can also be in English. The farm follows the concept of permaculture and it's great to learn more about this. - Bird watching with El Quin. You have to get up early for this one (start at 6 am), but you'll be rewarded with an amazing sunrise and lots of birds (toucans and others). - Chocolate tour at the Candelaria. Nice short walk and explanations on the process of coffee making. - Walk to the Mirador, where you have beautiful 360° views, and to the indigenous village under Mundo Nuevo. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to visit the nearby waterfalls. We'll be back 😉

Simply the best place I have had the chance to discover in my 4 months trip. You are located at the heart of nature with a 360 stunning view of the mountains, tropical birds flying around, for a truly peaceful and unique experience. The accommodation is perfect and the staff are genuinely kind and very attentive which makes your stay very special. There are many activities organised for guests to discover the eco lodge and its surroundings, hikes to fresh waterfalls, bird watching with a guide, mirador hike and view, chocolate experience… I initially booked for 3 nights and extended to 8… to then come back for an extra week at the end of my trip! I had an incredible stay at an eco-lodge in the mountains of Minca, Colombia. Surrounded by lush jungle and stunning views, the lodge blends sustainability with comfort. The rooms are cozy with large windows and hammocks for relaxing in nature. The staff is welcoming and the on-site restaurant serves delicious, locally sourced meals. It's the perfect place for nature lovers, offering peaceful relaxation and great hiking opportunities. Highly recommended for an eco-friendly, tranquil escape!
