I have known the Regio for a while. A good 4-star hotel that is offered at a very reasonable price. Large rooms with bathtub and balcony. The hotel could be a bit closer to the city center. To compensate, there are plenty of parking spaces. The breakfast used to be average. I don't recommend the bar. A fairly small coffee costs 1.90 and the tostadas are not good. I can recommend the empanadas from a nearby bakery. There is a Leclerc about 3 km away.

Uncomfortable bed. Springs could be felt. Large rooms. Room clean. No extra amenities. Desk staff great. Gave me a toothbrush. I would definitely pick somewhere else. I do not know by what standards this could possibly be a 4 star. I give 2-3

Stayed here for one night, due to our river cruise itinerary being changed due to river being to high. No way is this a 4 star hotel, 2 at best and that is being generous! It is a circa 1960's hotel which needs hugh investment to bring it into the 2lst century. The temperature in the room was over 30 degrees in April, kept waking up to put the aircon on to reduce it. The food was terrible, as was the wine - they served us a plate of mixed vegetables for a starter, over cooked hake with boiled potatoes for the main & cream caramel/egg custard for dessert, it was awful. Don't waste your money, they must think because they are in Salamanca they can get away with it. You have been warned!

2 night stay. Very helpful and happy staff. Rooms, while dated, are very clean. Breakfast is okay. Bus stop outside to Salamanca centre is really handy.
