Enjoying the Safira Pool bar. Kassandra who worked behind the bar was there every day, and despite being really busy and on her feet all day, was always happy and smiling and chatty.She went out of her way to make some extra cocktails to try while we sat at the bar. Great service

We were very enthousiastic about the riviera snackbar. The food was very good, and we were very happy with the waitress, her name is Elida Silva Bor. She realy made us feel very special and welcome ! You can realy see that she likes her job and wants to give the People a good feeding!

Beach room - looked a bit tired, bed fabulous, plenty of room. Bathroom- shower good but drainage poor. Staff - without exception, everyone polite and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Some uniforms looked tired. Company could provide new. Pools and bar areas- look tired. Tiling coming away from pool walls. Too close to other hotel. Lots of noise that echoed throughout. Music OK but too much Bob Marley. I shot the sherif should only been listened too at the very most twice. Animation team - fabulous. However imassuming that their budget for equipment and costumes is at the best poor. Food- very difficult. Large numbers. Different nationalities. Imported. It was OK. I would reccomend the BBQ evening. But not pasta evening. Shops & hairdressers good. Not great variety of goods though. Cleanliness- very good. Housekeeping do an excellent job for little wage. Restaurant staff - also fabulous. Beach and bikini beach bar - lovely. Bar dated and tired but banging tunes. All in all a good two week break, relaxing and vitamin d is in ubundance. I'm very sure that it's proberbly the staff that made this holiday great but the chain needs to think about making thus 4* fresh and exciting again. Beware of rouge taxi drivers. Always check your change and if in doubt, call the police. The threat often makes the taxi drivers fess up.

Amazing stay at lovely place Melia Llana. We enjoyed the a**osphere, the food, but mostly the entertainment activities, especially saturday karaoke show and sunday water aerobic, both with Cristiano Ramos, he is amazing entertainer doing his job with passion.

Cristiano and Mayara are so funny and kind animators, so they made every night very entertainable. Always smile on the face and many ideas at every night to entertain people. They are simply the best! Mama Africa Show, Cape Verde Show, Quiz Musical, Karaoke Show and 80's Party were funny and well planned. I only can recommend this hotel.

Most definitely not 5*. Reception very keen to promote VIP extra, 50 euro per person per night, it would seem that if you are willing to add this your experience will then be the 5* that you thought you’d already paid for. Little to no entertainment certainly not after 10pm. I can only support previous reviews regarding food etc. However, the staff try there best and aren’t responsible for the poor management. I have been to other hotels in Cape Verde that leave the Llana in the shade. We are still in the resort.

Ignore the bad reviews!!! We were very apprehensive at the start of our holiday but it couldn’t have turned out any better. It is well worth upgrading to VIP at this hotel for the 5* experience. The restaurants, food, and service we’re all 5* standard across this hotel, TUI Blue, and Dunas, (with the upgrade) and for what you pay (€50 per night extra) you get SO much for your money! I think we would have struggled eating in the all inclusive every night, but there are the options of booking in at the other restaurants. The breakfast service is also improved with the VIP upgrade. The VIP experience also included a 30 minute trea**ent at the spa which we felt was an added bonus! The lunchtime menu at the Level bar was lovely, and worth the level upgrade if you don’t fancy the VIP. The hotel staff were attentive and a shoutout to the VIP experience Concierge who were able to get us a swim up room upgrade, (due to our original upgrade room becoming unavailable when we went down to reception with our luggage to change!) The town is within walking distance (approx 1 hour), and a free shuttle bus leaves the hotel at 11am every morning. Don’t buy into the TUI trips / excursions, you can find these cheaper in the town. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, and we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday! We will definitely be back.

Had a fantastic stay at the media Llana Could not fault anything from start to finish, we upgraded to VIP on arrival (£600 for the week) and were given a free upgraded room ( duplex with two mini bars , huge balcony, jacuzzi bath, sitting room and upstairs bathroom) It was absolutely worth it if you are a foodie. The concierge booked us a different restaurant for dinner every night and the food was amazing. We had lobster, tomahawk steak and beef wellington. We had unlimited access to level area and bikini beach club which were great. We would definitely book the same thing again. Staff and facilities were great

Just come home from our second stay at the Melia . Absolutely love it here , Plenty of sunbeds, Service spot on, Rooms are just what you need. Only minor issue is the food. There is lots to choose from however hot food needs to be hot. If you want a chilled out relaxing holiday this is for you.
