Hotel - Odjo d´Agua

Loved this hotel. The whole set up is great. We chose a sea view room, we were on the ground floor with a private patio and the pool pretty much outside our room. At first I found it a bit weird that there was people sunbathing directly in front of our patio but it didn't feel intrusive or affect our privacy. The breakfasts were lovely, not loads of choice but enough and the food was tasty and fresh. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was really lovely, there was relaxing live music every night in the restaurant usually consisting of a singer and keyboard player. The beach bar was great, there are tables and chairs at the bar and then sunbeds (cost 4 euros each per day) next to the infinity pool and further down the beach, these were all serviced by the bar staff. The bar staff never stopped running around serving people and they were super friendly. Beach bar did nice food as well; wraps, salads and fresh fish. Sunbeds were a bit old and tired looking and the ones at the smaller pool were uncomfortable, they need replacing or padded mats on them. Beach is stunning, white sand with crystal clear sea. The sea is quite rocky near the hotel so you need sea shoes to go in the sea and the sea can be a little rough, a few minutes walk down the beach and there are no rocks so it's easier to get into the sea. Pools are cold but refreshing in the heat. The rooms are quite old fashioned but adds to the charm of the hotel. If you're looking for super modern then this may not be the hotel for you. Room was very clean and spacious. It was a twin room with the beds pushed together to make a double (still feels like single beds though). Air conditioning was already set and was perfect. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Santa Maria centre is a two minute walk, loads of restaurants and shops. Quite a few restaurants on the beach as well. We are booking again for next Easter and cant wait to go back.

This was my favorite place for a drink during our stay in Sal. Gorgeous beach side cafe and reataurant. We only went for drinks in the afternoon so the place was quiet, we enjoyed cold wine in the sun watching the waves. What else do you need in a holiday? The hotel is locally owned family business, so we gladly support them.

My husband and I,really enjoyed staying here,the reception were helpful,explaining breakfast,booking to eat at the restaurant,we were then shown to our room.The beds were comfortable,spacious room and balcony.Towels and sheets changed every day.you get clean beach towels twice a week.I don,t think I’ve stayed anywhere with such a fabulous outlook,when having meals.I haven’t given it 5 stars mainly because of the sunbed situation,don,t really agree with paying 4 euros .we would definitely return to this hotel

Been coming to the island for 20 years and this is our favourite restaurant but tonight was disappointing! Our starters arrived 10 minutes apart tho we both had shrimp! Our main tho delicious ( tuna) was stone cold & the extra side dishes arrived when we’d finished! We declined the veg for that reason ! The staff did their best and a rather officious lady appeared to take our payment as if we might be trouble!! We left an 8 euro tip even tho the experience wasn’t as we would have wanted or expected! We come every year sometimes twice a year to the island and we’re staying at the Morabeza hotel… we had thought that next time we might stay here but I don’t think we will…

Local restaurant at our hotel. Godt food and great service. Hope to enjoy some more. Choice first night was octopus, and it was perfect done. The environment is nice and you can enjoy either inside or outside dining. Look forward to enjoy a fish dish later

Went to their waterside side restuarant for dinner and it was truly fabulous. We were lucky to get a table as they were really busy. So glad we did as the food and service were delicious. We had a bottle of local red wine, bread olives and cheese to start and beef mignion in a gorgeous sauce with salad followed by complimentary liquors We were served by Trevor and the singer and pianist added to the ambiance The place is very quirky too
