Hotel Central Santa Maria

Me and my daughter had a nice time in this small and lovely hotel. It is very central in Santa Maria. In only 5 minutes you walk to the pretty beach, where you have many nice places to eat or drink and visit shops. You can rent your material to go surfing, you can see where they catch the fish or you can rent a bike. The weather is just perfect in december! I liked the hotel because it’s in a local street and not in a desolate place with a big hotel. (Most of the guests were Dutch, Scandinavian or German.) The only small negative point is that it can be a bit noisy with children outside. But we slept fine every night. In the area are several small supermarkets. The people in the hotel are very friendly. Our room was nice and tidy. The small breakfast is good. The WiFi worked very well. I would recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the beach and restaurants and don’t need to much luxury. Thank you hotel Central for this nice Christmas in your hotel!

Not very good experience and from cleaning the rooms with bleach and poor quality but quite expensive. The breakfast is poor and terrible with a serving lady very rude, acting she is giving the food free!! And not caring, no smile but rude and very late bringing in coffee and eggs and if you miss something it take loooong time to get it. They should be leaving the basic things out on the table so people could take themselves. Even the so called juice is not juice, a sugary drink she insist call juice. Very simple breakfast becomes a late something, Lots of children yelling outside and crowded people screaming but it is near the centre of Sal, maybe it is what it is. Very nice people in the city not violent and mostly calm.

A special thanks to Sandro & all his staff of the Hotel Central in Santa Maria, for the kindness, efficiency, care of guests and availability received during my stay at its facility. His staff, like him, are always ready to satisfy every customer needs, Loriana, Iolando and Kipsa at the Reception are impeccable. Paulo at the maintenance intervenes immediately with professionalism. I must also mention the perfect cleaning of the room by Lina and Marisa. The thing that struck me most positively is that the structure is undergoing renovations and despite this both, Sandro and all the staff do not make you experience any disservice in the slightest. Despite the fact that upon my arrival there was a sudden lack of light in all of Santa Maria and some friends in the morning did not have water in the room, personally I have not only always had water but also always hot. They have catered to my every request and it is not easy to find 3* structures like this, right in the center. Currently the restaurant is not finished yet for the breakfasts and they are leaning towards Angulo Beach which is approx at 800m, at first I thought it was an inconvenience for me, instead it was easy to think it was an opportunity to have breakfast looking at this splendid sea. Angulo beach with a coffee (Corsini) made better than in some Italian bars, and with an abundant and unlimited breakfast menu. The hotel even authorized me to give me breakfast after hours one morning! It's nice to see countries that want to do and do well, especially after having lived through years of pandemic. Let's help them build the restaurant and the swimming pool!!! Stay there without fear, as I did. I wish Sandro and his brother to carry on their father's legacy and I am sure that the fourth star will arrive soon. Good luck !!!! O Paulo na manutenção intervém de imediato com profissionalismo, não posso deixar de referir a limpeza perfeita do quarto por parte da Lina e da Marisa. O que mais me impressionou positivamente é que a estrutura está passando por reformas e, apesar disso, tanto Sandro quanto toda a equipe não fazem você sentir nenhum desserviço. Apesar de à minha chegada ter havido uma falta repentina de luz em toda Santa Maria e alguns amigos de manhã não terem água no quarto, pessoalmente não só sempre tive água mas também sempre quente. Eles atenderam a todos os meus pedidos e não é fácil encontrar estruturas de 3 estrelas como esta, bem no centro. Atualmente o restaurante ainda não está pronto para os cafés da manhã e eles estão inclinados para a Praia do Angulo que fica a aprox. a 800m, a princípio pensei que era um incômodo para mim, mas foi fácil pe
