Surfing Beach Village Paros

Very loud music across the entire accommodation. If you are looking to relax here. Forget it. The pool area plays very loud music which disturbs the entire experience. It is impossible to think here. It is like a teenages party gone wrong. A very unpleasant experience indeed. The management needs to decide on their target market. Not recommended at all.

This hotel is Basic but absolutely fine and the staff are nice … however we booked this hotel because we wanted to learn how to surf but unfortunately the surf and water sports guys where absolutely awful and I believe to be incredibly sexist ! We asked on day 1 for surf lessons, they said too windy, then they said no instructor ! Second day they said to windy, and said they could not teach beginners, yet we watched them teach a group of male beginners all afternoon. When i asked if we could have a lesson as they where clearly teaching beginners they lied and said they were intermediate (although they couldnt even stand on the board and where clearly having their first lesson) When I suggested they seemed to want to teach men and not women he just said to me ‘bye bye’s and waved me away. My daughter and i are actually very capable athletes but unfortunately were judged and dismissed by the men at the surf school. We did tell the hotel on 2 occasions but they were unable to help as the surf school are not a part of the hotel.

I have been to hundreds of hotels in my life, but this has the worst service of any of them. They never answered my e-mails, so I booked via Booking. Although the young man in the reception is extremely nice, the older woman treats guests like garbage. She even refused to print a one page pdf because she said she did not have time, but she did have time to argue about it with me for 20 minutes? Every decent hotel prints a one-page pdf file for its guests. Every small request turns into a nightmare. For example, since I move around a lot when I sleep I asked her to tell the cleaning people to please give us an extra bedsheet, but of course she never informed them. Then when I asked a cleaning lady about it she said I had to ask the receptionist! Since I pressured her, she finally talked to the manager of cleaning and he arranged an extra bed sheet, but the next day they took it away when cleaning! Also they only clean every second day -- which would be acceptable, but they also only gave us new soap 3 times during a 14-day stay! The breakfast is the worst I have ever had in my life at any hotel. There is only orange drink and water in addition to coffee-tea, but the orange drink is mostly water and sugar. I don't mind that there is no warm food, but there is only one type of processed cheese -- not feta cheese -- and 2 types of cold meats. There is also yogurt but only canned fruits to eat with it. There are no fresh fruits or vegetables. If you are vegan there is nothing to eat. I asked if I could borrow two cups for making tea in our room as we took our own water cooker with us, but it led to a 10-minute argument until she finally agreed. Every other hotel will either already have glasses and cups in your room or at least they always agree immediately to lend it to you. The water in the rooms is awful as it is salt-water from the sea without any filter, so you cannot even use the water to rinse your fruit, but rather have to buy bottled water! It is great that there are 2 pools and that it is next to the sea, but it is also outrageous that they charged 50-60 Euro for an umbrella and cot to lie down on.

The staff where so friendly and rooms so nice and cleaned every day. The breakfast was simple but nice and the big pool was lovely and clean and plenty of sun beds and the free shuttle bus at 7pm every night to Noussa was great and we went 7 times. The beach was lovely.

an unforgettable holiday the perfect location as it is a short distance from Naoussa in an enviable position on one of the most beautiful beaches of Paros. Inside the structure there is a small supermarket, a characteristic restaurant and 2 swimming pools, one of which with bar service. Very courteous staff. In the surroundings of Santa Maria there are various taverns where you can taste the typical Greek dishes, an experience to be repeated absolutely.

We read several hundred reviews and they are mostly spot on. We rented one suit on the beach and two bungalows in the garden area for the 8 of us. The staff was beyond helpful and pleasant throughout our visit. Everything is self-contained if you want to spend much of your time in one place. Santa Maria is likely the nicest of the beaches - clear turquoise water, shallow and safe for kids, a nice swimming pool with excellent bar staff. The suites are right on the beach and have a patio, 4 chairs with a table, and an umbrella with two beach chairs. Many reviews express concerns about the cost of beach chairs with cabana on the beach. Two chairs plus the umbrella and stand are 30E for the back row and 40E for the two front rows. They are operated by an independent company that owns the adjacent restaurant and bar that plays fun pop music. These costs are the same as you’d pay at any other beach. The restaurant on the beach is incredibly tasty with excellent staff, as is the next door bar and surf shop where you can rent wind surfers, paddle boards, etc. The breakfast is simple continental that was entirely suitable. We’re not throwing ball is also a Restaurant at which we did not on the compound but other said it was fine. I highly recommend a place. We had a wonderful time.
