Although being old it has been reasonably updated.
There isn't much near to the hotel, but it's easy access to a main avenue.
When I checked in I was rushed through the process like if there was lots of people behind me... but no just me so I'm not sure why the front desk was in such a hurry. Also I wanted to use the safe at the front desk but they didn't have the 2nd key so the put my valuables in the managers office, so not quite the same as next day it was a bit hectic as the staff was figuring where were my valuables. In the end all worked out.

An older property but one of the best options on Cerrillos. The location is ideally located at the end of airport road making getting to and from the airport a breeze. The rooms are large and comfortable. Every room has a balcony which is a nice touch. The only downside is they only have one, very slow elevator for the whole hotel. After having not so great experiences at the Fairfield and Courtyard down the road, this property will definitely be at the top of my list when needing to stay in Cerrillos in the future.

When checking in (12:15pm) we were told rooms were available but we would need to sit in the lobby for 45 min because if we check in before 1pm we are charged $75 extra. We are DIAMOND members. Also, breakfast allotment for Diamonds is about $3 less than the breakfast buffet, Really? Reached out to Hilton and they did nothing.

Stayed 2 nights for a meeting. Room was spacious but DARK, especially since 1 light bulb burned out and another blinking on/off. Called maintenance but nobody came. Bed was comfortable but the pillows flattened so much had to sleep on 3 of them. The lunches they served for the meeting were quite average (best part was dessert). Did not eat at the hotel restaurant or use the pool/spa. If you fly into the tiny Santa Fe municipal airport (SAF), be aware that there is NO public transportation or taxis. You will need to catch a ride via Uber or Lyft.

A shower is not simply a shower for me. A shower is a way of acclimating myself to the lucidity required to engage in everyday life. It is a way to mentally and physically prepare myself for whatever may lie ahead for me for the day. It's a routine that borders on a spiritual ritual to allow myself to function in the world at my maximum potential.
I am not exaggerating, then, when I say my shower at The Inn and Spa at Loretto was one of the most uncomfortable experiences in my life.
I awoke early in the morning in eager anticipation to enjoy everything Santa Fe has to offer, and as I watched the sun rise over the Sangre de Christo Mountains, marveling at the beauty of the New Mexico sunrise. All that was left for me was to take my shower and prepare for the day. Nothing could have prepared me for what happened next.
I stepped into the bathroom and made my way over to the shower, and turned the knob as I always would to roughly halfway to initiate the process. As I anxiously waited to begin my shower routine, the bathroom quickly filled with steam. After the cool morning air this felt nice at first, but of course I didn't want to scald myself! I turned the faucet back towards the cool side as I stepped into the shower, expecting that I understood where I would reach a ”warm” temperature. Within seconds I was blasted with ice cold water as if straight from a glacier. Pain shot up my spine to my neck as the icy water rained upon me, and I reflexively turned the knob back towards the hot side, thinking I surely had found the ”happy medium”. Within moments I was engulfed in red hot water that felt as if it had just been boiled in a tea pot across my face and neck, stunning me yet again. Frustrated, I moved the shower head directly to the floor, spraying my feet with the same steaming water. I then carefully moved the faucet, one centimeter at a time towards the cold side, gauging the point at which the water would begin to cool. Amazingly, there was no change. After 10 or so careful movements of the knob, the water began to cool, to my great relief. However, within moments the ice cold water returned, once again sending shivers up my spine. After more experimentation and constant discomfort, it became clear that there were only two options for this shower: burning hot or ice cold. The rest of my shower was spent doing a horrible dance of moving between excessively hot and cold water, moving my body out of the water frequently to minimize the pain. I ultimately managed to do the bare minimum necessary to get myself clean, with the chance of a relaxing and revitalizing experience clearly being out of the question.
This is not how I would want anyone to start their day, and I feel this should be unacceptable for a hotel with the stature and reputation of The Inn and Spa at Loretto. While the rest of my experience there was quite nice, this shower left me with an awful feeling for much of my day. I hope they are able to ensure that future guests do not have to go through an experience like this.

The hotel restaurant is delicious and I have no desire to eat outside. I went in the cold season, but the room temperature is always just right and comfortable. The staff feels good. The rooms are cleaned daily and are clean.

Outstanding
My husband and I went to Santa Fe with adult family members, and we stayed at the Pecos Trail Inn. It was a great choice! Each of our rooms were decorated differently and with a comforting feel. There are no words for the beds except, fantastic! I've never slept so well in a hotel. The outdoor pool is a beautiful throwback from the 50's (renovated). The Inn is located just outside the plaza area which is much quieter than in town. There is a restaurant on the premises which was very good and many others nearby that we liked, (Harry's Roadhouse was great). Leah and Adam, the proprietors are two of the nicest young people that you could meet. They pay attention to their patrons, waving and smiling as they go about the property. I would recommend this quaint Inn to anyone visiting Santa Fe.
My daughter and I had a beautiful room at La Fonda on the plaza! We had a great view of the Basilica and the room decorations were perfect for Santa Fe! We loved the room so much we ordered room service for dinner and the food was fantastic! We will go back to stay here again.
GGuest UserWe found our room to be a little under- supplied in terms of soap, shampoo, towels, etc but otherwise everything was very comfortable. Once we got our bearings we found that it was a very easy walk to the Santa Fe Plaza and quite a few other restaurants outside the plaza. Rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable although a little dated. There is a nice pool and fitness room on the property but we didn’t use these at all yet were charged a daily resort fee. I don’t feel that charge was appropriate, this didn’t feel like a resort, more like a suites hotel with a pool.
JJoe MWhat a charming place -- the interior architecture completely captures the spirit of the Pueblo Style. We arrived in the evening and saw the hotel's entry beautifully lit, the lobby ambience gleaming, and in the lobby-lounge we heard the mystical sounds of an indigenous flute player!! We were in Santa Fe for Indian Market. Each morning we'd take their shuttle to the plaza -- awesome drivers, great humor, and we met new friends too. At days end, my wife and I relaxed by having a late dinner in their indoor-outdoor restaurant. The cuisine was delicious, and the drinks had great spirit. Our suite was very cute (my wife's term) and accommodating for having breakfast each morning -- I had their omelet three days in a row and on the last day pancakes. Rest assured, we are going back to Hotel Santa Fe!!
TTom BWe were traveling through and had trouble finding a decent hotel. We found comfort inn had rooms available and even though it’s an older hotel, we were very comfortable. The best part was the breakfast! The worst part was that the pool was closed. I would definitely recommend it and hopefully the pool is open now!
I rate our recent experience as q minus 1. We stood there in May of 2023 and the room was decent the young man at the the front desk was polite and professional, we went back in September of 2023 to a very different scenario. The woman at the front desk was very rude . The room was filthy the sheets had what looked like dry blood or human waste whatever it was in was very disgusting. The staff didn't seem to care they did get us another room with clean bedding but acted like we over reacted regarding the dirty sheets and filthy room . Will never go there again. The young man working the front desk at checkout was the only positive part of our stay. We have yet to hear back from the manager regarding our concerns. Wouldn't recommend this motel at all.Tried to include photo of the soiled sheets on the bed but system didn't allow.
BBiankaMOur stay at the Sage in was amazing. The staff was super friendly and very helpful with both check-in, check out, and any additional questions we had. The restaurant and bar located on site is amazing. And there's a great salad place about a 5-minute walk from the hotel (Vinaigrette). We were able to walk 10 minutes to the farmers market as well on saturday! The location is great and close to anything you need to do in Santa Fe.
Do not stay here. During our stay, the front desk clerk gave a key to our room to another guest. I was laying in bed in only a bra and underwear when a complete stranger opened the door. I yelled at the guy that he obviously had the key to the wrong room and he left. This is a HUGE security breach. What if this random person had been dangerous? What if I had been asleep when a potentially dangerous person was given access to my room? Apparently Motel 6 corporate doesn't care about this issue either. They should have refunded at least part of our stay for this incident. I will do my best to tell everyone I know that Motel 6 doesn't take the security of their guests seriously. Also, our towels were only replaced one day out of a four night stay. The trash was also only emptied once. Other than Thursday, (the day they let some guy have access to our room) we left in the morning and did not come back until after dark. There's no reason for housekeeping to skip our room every day except Thursday.
We came here for 3 nights and it was worth every penny! The people were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. Our room was very clean, and very comfortable. This was our first time staying at a La Quinta hotel and we will definitely stay at them again in the future.
