Settled in the mountains of Panama, La Qhia offers you a variety of experiences of your liking. For this part of the world, the accommodations would be considered upscale with the availability of hot water, a comfortable clean room, a restaurant on the premises, and a bar. You are very close to town and the staff are excellent. Highly recommend!

I stayed at La Quia four nights at the end of April 2024. The lodging is rustic and comfortable with a good breakfast included at very reasonable rates. The owners, David and Cindy, were very friendly and pleasant to speak with. I was able to do some of the many activities in the Santa Fe area each day I was there from jungle hiking to visiting waterfalls and horseback riding. All was arranged by La Qhia's manager, Reynaldo, who did a fantastic job setting up all the logistics. If you're going to Santa Fe, La Qhia is your best choice.

We recently visited this restaurant that came highly recommended by our local guide. We made sure to ask for their famous margaritas, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is a charming and peaceful place, with a welcoming staff and delicious food. Reflecting on our time in Santa Fe, we can confidently say that if we were to return, we would choose to stay at this hotel because, in comparison to our Santa Fe accommodation, this hotel offers a much quieter and more serene atmosphere. The tranquility of the surroundings creates a sense of calm and relaxation.

Have you ever wanted to stay at a place that you are fully immersed in nature, the sounds, the fresh air, the views, the tranquility of it all? This is the place! I got to experience staying in an open air tree house for the first time and wouldn't have had it any other way. The sunrises that welcomed me every morning from our balcony were absolute PERFECTION. Reynaldo, the property manager, made sure we always had everything we needed, he even coordinated a massage with a local therapist named Boris for me when I mentioned that I needed one after all of the hiking we had done. Johnny, the bartender, made the absolute best margaritas to end the day with. Tita, our wonderful kitchen manager, cooked us up the absolute best breakfast and dinners I have ever had, I am still dreaming of her lentils. There wasn't a single thing that this resort could have offered that would have made my stay better. It was truly everything my dreams could have imagined and then some. There is onsite laundry for a minimal cost, clean restrooms, a full bar, restaurant, hammacks everywhere to lounge in, yoga deck for early morning stretching, cute orange tabby cat, the occasional monkey and chicken and to top it off, you are walking distance to a market in case you forgot anything.

First of all, Santa Fé is gorgeus, a mountain town very beautiful. As a town, Santa Fé, was the highlight of my trip and with such beautiful trekkings all round full of waterfalls. La Qhia is a very charming place with a beautiful and relaxing garden, a lot of common areas with terraces where you could enjoy the place seating or laying in one hamaca and even a open air area to practice yoga or meditate. A bit of paradise. The bungalow was spotless, very clean and with a good area, and your own seating place outside. Has an open air restaurant with good food (good price) and good service and if you want they have also cocktails. :) Everyone was nice, the employee (sorry don't know the name) of the restaurant was very nice and kind, always smiling. All the team was there to be helpful, I fell and all were very helpful to give me what I need. Reynaldo, the manager of Qhia is there for you and explain everything what you could need. With all the patient and being a sweet person. He did a fantastic job creating a page on Qhia site with all information that you need for trekking and other useful information of Santa Fé (trekkings, tours, restaurants, public transports, etc). Everything is there. Even each trekking is described in every little detail. I always thought that if I had a place to receive people I would do that. But is the first time that I saw a hotel/eco resort, doing this. What a good, great job receiving people. Of course, I cant forget, Ragnar, the dog (is big but with a sweet soul and gorgeus) and the sleepy cat that loves cuddling. Last, did the night tour to see night wildlife and recommend the experience. Is always magical feeling nature at night. Really recommend to stay here.
