Best Hotels near Air Raid Shelter, Santa Eularia Des Riu

First impressions of you look from afar are great, it’s when you get closer and this is a hotel trying to appeal to the higher end of the market with a cheap refurb. Negatives: * Offer snacks and drinks at reception or within the lobby area, especially for late arrivals. * Explain the facilities available and where to access them. * Add a welcome leaflet in the room with key information such as meal options for non all inclusive guests. * Offer recommendations for food and general local amenities. * 1 bottle of water complimentary, put it in the fridge or have 2 one chilled and one not. * Fix the aircon, on the lowest setting the rooms are still warm and uncomfortable. * One staff member behind the day bar was very rude when it came to learning I was a staff member of Leonardo Hotels, he did not want to add the staff discount. He also put my food order through wrong, I ordered a cheeseburger but he bought a chicken burger out. Not sure if he even applied the discount as it was €12. I noticed he was rude to a few customers during his shift - 17/10/23. * Couldn’t ask about late check out until the morning of check out. Offers should be purchasable at booking. Would also promote direct booking. * Style of the rooms are an attempt to modernise but unfortunately you can tell this was done at a low budget. The rooms are what would class as standard hotel rooms. * Staff could benefit from some customer service training to provide a more comfortable stay. Positives: * Location is great for access to the beach. Special gate for access to and from beach from day bar area. * Outdoor areas are perfect for sunlight all day. * Two bars one for day and one for night - Changed at 7pm. * Food available at the bar for non AI. * Good selection of drinks. * Checking in and out was quick. * Good size pools which match size of hotel. * Cleanliness of the hotel was to a high standard.

Everything was perfect. Drinks etc. Only the food was very disappointing to me, maybe I shouldn't have expected too much from it...

Impeccable hotel, the first room had displeased us facing the air conditioning network at the reception we changed it without problem. The meals are varied. Only downside lack of deckchair for everyone. Very attentive bar staff

Very affordable hotel especially when you book with meals included. We booked with half board, both breakfast and dinner were pretty good. Short walk to a supermarket and the marina. Reception was friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic but clean. No complaints

Booked for a hen do with a group of 6 girls, Hotel was clean, friendly staff, great location We upgraded to the premium rooms and it was definitely worth it, rooms were modern and faced the swimming pool, came with fridge, air con, tv, hairdryer, deposit box was extra but only 3 euro per night with 10 euro deposit which you got back, Hotel is 5 mins walk to the egg / west end *****, hotel can be quite lively at any point of day / night, seemed to be more of a younger crowd which suited us but may not be for everyone depending what you want, Breakfast was the usually hot selection (what I would call Spanish breakfast) wasn’t for us so we decide to eat out and found prices reasonable so didn’t bother us too much, Overall I would recommend, and would consider booking again in the future

02/05/22. Dinner 2 persons. Belvedere Restaurant, Royal Plaza Hotel, Ibiza. Even if you are not a resident, you can be sure of exquisite cuisine in this comfortable room without the over-priced, over designed ostentatiousness of other, perhaps more well-known establishments on the island! This is, or should be, a well-guarded secret!… however tonight’s dinner was a revelation… I had a starter of Caprese salad that would do justice to any Italian place… my companion opted for a ‘main’ course of gambas in garlic with egg - a combination I’ve never encountered before! - I will return to savour this dish another day… My main: fish: Dorada fillet. This was cooked to absolute perfection and compliments were duly sent to the kitchen! No room for dessert … but coffees and brandy for me and more cava (gorgeous) which we had started with, for my hostess… The whole evening was a delight and because of a sudden downpour, more residents decided to eat here.. and like us we’re not disappointed… and the prices… well, has to be the best deal in town, considering the quality of the food! Stayed in Anfora 5 years ago & loved it. Food was amazing! Return trip in October 2023 & hotel was spotlessly clean, staff pleasant, breakfast was good but evening meal was DREADFUL!! I am sorry to say this as last time we visited I couldn't praise it enough. Chef used to come out & chat - explain what was in menu., he was lovely & food was great. This year we had a few evening meals off menu & they were inedible, steak was like old boots, chicken fillet was wafer thin & hard & dry, couldn't get knife through it. The buffet food was trying to be tapas I think but failed miserably. It was kept luke warm which I felt was a health hazard as bacteria would be thriving in those conditions. One night they had Paella on the buffet, my goodness it tasted foul. Rice cooked in a VERY strong fish stock with a few king prawns on top, it was foul!! Inedible!! Nothing like paella. I was so very very disappointed. I would never stay half board again. I noticed as the week went on less & less people ate in the restaurant in the evening but breakfast was always busy, perhaps people gave up & ate outside the hotel. There was a salad bar which most nights I had lettuce tomato etc but it got rather boring. I must sing the praises of ladies who cleaned the rooms & public areas. They did an excellent job. The hotel was spotless!! I hope next year you improve your evening menus or you are going to loose business. I praised this hotel on last visit but sadly evening meal really let it down.

We stayed for a week at end of half term as a family of 4 with children aged 11 and 8. We had a suite with a pool view which was lovely. Lovely views, plenty of space for the 4 of us with a separate bedroom for the children (just lacked a door) and plenty of wardrobe space and a bathroom. Food - we were impressed with the all inclusive. Though maybe less options than when been away before the quality was of a higher standard. Themed nights such as Chinese, Indian and Mexican were all great and the omelette station in the mornings was a winner! Snack bar by the pool was a hit with us all with toasties, hot dogs, burgers and salads available along with cornetto ice creams. Location wise - brilliant. Gorgeous views of the coast line and beautiful beaches are walkable within 15 minutes in either direction. The harbour is lovely with some lovely restaurants and views and again 5-10 minute walk away. We got the bus to Es Cana on a couple of occasion which is lovely and also a cab to the Ibiza old Town. Staff - all service with a smile and very helpful. Entertainment - would say this is only bit that let the hotel down slightly. Evenings were pretty dire but we were happy to go out and about so not the end of the world. Reps worked really hard and were lovely but the evening entertainment was really poor. We would 100% return as an all round great stay. Just don’t go if relying on good evening entertainment if like to stay in the hotel

I was here in August 2023 with Frieda for a friend’s birthday. The hotel is incredibly stunning, spectacular with excellent service. Andrea really went the extra mile. My room was sea view so I had a direct view of the sea which was out of this world! Food was delicious & so much of a variety. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, experience and would book again & highly recommend this hotel! The surrounding areas are lovely with lots to view and lovely restaurants and places to shop.

The room was clean, well laid out and the beds were made every day. One day our air conditioning broke and before we mentioned it to the reception staff it had been fixed. The entertainment was excellent, although slightly too late at 9:30pm. The animation team were fantastic with the children and our boys loved the kids club! They always interacted with the children during the mini disco and we were impressed with the languages the staff spoke. The restaurant staff were always so helpful and friendly with us. The food was delicious and there was plenty of variety. We were half board plus, but I think that was enough. You wouldn’t get the quality of drinks/food we had when all inclusive at most hotels. Joshua taught the fitness classes, which we found to be an excellent standard. He is clearly very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about this. Overall a very relaxed and safe resort, with slices of the livelier ibiza with touches such as the saxophonist, who was the highlight of the entertainment for us. We enjoyed the fact that there were lots of locals using the resort as well so it didn’t feel like Brits abroad like previous places we have visited.
