Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife - All Inclusive

i got back from a week here yesterday and just wanted to share my experieince here Firstly the great points - the staff are amazing and go out of their way to make your stay as pleasurable as possible - special shout out to Adela in the italian restaurant for making me feel so comfortable as being a solo traveller - dining can be a bit awkward The rooms are huge! the bathroom alone in my junior suite is the size of my bedroom at home so more than enough space for everyone. my room came with twin beds (huge) the fluffiest pillows i have ever slept on, a fold out sofa bed in case the 2 beds werent enough! toiletries, kettle, ironing board and fridge with a few cans of soda and beer (personally i didnt touch them as i prefer diet soda and unfortunately i only got full fat). i went out and bought my own bottle of coke zero and box of PG Tips teabags because i can only stomach occasional coffee and really not a lover of green or camomile teas. i also ended up buying a litre of milk as the allowance of 2 miniscule milk portions was nowhere near enough I ave never stayed at anywhere so clean - the staff are like ninjas at getting everything spotless and despite other comments i have read - not one cockroach was spotted Food - oh my god the food!! the buffet restaurant was superb and loads of choice for all but the fussiest of eaters! i got to the point at day 4 where i was all eaten out as so much food available. the snack bar was fantastic and loved the macdonalds style of the order board. The Ala cartes i tried were the staek house and italian. The steak house was ok - i paid extra for the fillet steak which was lovely but a bit gristly unfortunately so took a bit of chewing - otherwise all ok (apart from the weird stares and comments i got from other diners - seriously people, get with the times - a solo woman can go to a restaurant on her own - i dont need a man to eat!) The italian, i visited twice and the first time i was served by the amazing Adela who made my visit feel so welcoming and accomodated my indecision by providing smaller portions of different mains to the point you could have rolled me out of the restaurant! Second time, not so much, after the staring and comments from the diners in the steakhouse i opted to hide a bit at the back which meant i was out of sight out of mind. the service from Angeles was good but i had to wave for attention . my food wasnt as nice - the lasagna was swimming in such a puddle of sauce and piping hot cheese i ended up asking for a spoon just to eat it. i left there the second time completely underwhelmed unfortunately Entertainment - i went to the Papimber show which was a ix of a kids show with cirque de soleil. obvioulsy the kids stuff wasnt for me but i did really enjoy the acrobatics - also the live singers at the lobby bar were all fantastic and i thoroughly enjoyed them Lobby Bar - gotta lover Norberto - he is totally amazing Area - hotel is let down by the fact there is very little surrounding it
Regency Torviscas Apartments and Suites
4/545 Reviews
Having read some of the recent reviews of the Regency Club it has left me wondering if we stayed at the same place as our 6 night stay from the 9th Jan was brilliant! We stayed in a ground floor one bed apartment with direct access to the pool from the terrace which was great, the apartment was clean and the beds really comfy. Unlike some other guests experience, we had regular cleaners in and an abundance of fresh towels. Yes the bathroom could do with some TLC as the shower tray was very springy at one end and some of the tiling was chipped. Never a problem getting sunbeds, we found the pool to be clean although the jacuzzi did look a little grubby one day. We went out every night so can't comment on the evening entertainment, the reception staff were friendly as were the supermarket staff. The bakery (when open) was lovely aswell. 10-15 minute walk down to the bars and restaurants, as stated in other reviews a taxi back is around 5 euros. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to someone who isn't fully mobile.

We read some bad reviews prior to coming to the resort and were nervous about what we had read. However we stayed here for 10 nights and had a wonderful holiday! Hotel location was perfect! A 5 minute walk to beach were there was plenty restraunts/pubs and beach activities too. We were all inclusive so ate and drank at the hotel majority of the time. The food was good quality, although not hundreds of options, the options provided were always of good standard. Bar and kitchen staff were always super helpful and up for a laugh, we were sad to be leaving them behind when going home!! Pool area was clean and life guard was super friendly and always went above and beyond for us. He spoke little English bus still somehow made us laugh daily. The entertainment team provide lots of activities during the day (darts, pool, bowls, basketball to name a few) which we always thoroughly enjoyed. The night time entertainment was always of good quality although my only negative was the evening entertainment would only be on for around an hour each night so was finished for 10/10:30 each night. There was an entertainment team member called Aada who we personally felt went that wee bit more above and beyond what was required. She was always trying to involve everyone and even those a little more shy, doing what she could to try get them involved. She made our stay!! As for the negatives, my only gripe was that the cleaner had only came to our room 2x our entire 10 night stay and rooms didn’t have a hairdryer or air con unit. We were able to hire a hairdryer and fan from reception but the fan doesn’t do much unless sat right beside it (which I had to do most nights when getting ready). Overall, we had a very positive stay and the staff definitely made the trip for us. We would definitely consider returning to Atlantida bungalows !

I stayed for 9 nights in this hotel in December 2023. My transfer to the resort was significantly delayed, over 4 hours, so I arrived tired & hungry. I went to Reception to check in & was told my room had been upgraded to include a balcony, I was also provided with 2 bags of food courtesy of the hotel as they were aware I was running late, sandwiches, fruit & water. I was surprised by this gesture but absolutely delighted. From that moment on I continued to be welcomed & felt the warmth of the staff, from the bar staff, kitchen staff & cleaning staff, everyone was courteous & friendly & made the hotel feel like my home for the 9 nights. The rooms are very clean, an older more authentic look to them but I fell in love with the place. The fridge worked which was good news too! The breakfast in the morning was excellent & plenty of choice. There was entertainment on at night, most of it was very good. The hotel does a deal where you can drink local alcohol & hot drinks for €14 per day (min 3 days), it was excellent value. I spent my birthday at the hotel & arrived back to my room to a card from the staff & a bottle of wine. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was made to feel very welcome. One word of warning…the hotel is a 15-20 walk from the beach & it’s a reasonably steep descent / ascent so it is tough on the legs…I’m 44 & of a medium fitness level & I found it tiring, so be aware of that.
Royal River, Luxury Hotel

This is an absolutely outstanding hotel with impeccable staff. If you are looking for peace, tranquility and stunning surroundings then this is the perfect hotel for you. Our room was the royal river room I believe it's the basic room, but when we walked in we felt like we'd arrived at a Maldivian island (we've visited there twice). The room was very large with a separate sitting room, double closing doors to the bedroom and then a double sink bathroom with a beautiful bath and rainfall shower. Outside there was a smallish pool similar to what you'd get in an over water villa in the Maldives, a gorgeous double bed, egg chair and corner sofa which we used in the evening for drinks. From our pool you could swim out to the river and take some amazing photos of the tree canopy covered river. They offer theme food nights we did the Asian and French nights both of which were incredible. But it is only a 5 min taxi ride to caleta where there are many other restaurants too. My husband had a small issue with hotel laundry with an expensive shirt however duty manager Daniella was incredibly professional, concerned and helpful she recompensed us for the cost of the shirt. And aside that in all our dealings with her she is clearly a real asset to this hotel. The only very slight comment is about the bathroom soap/shampoo dispensers they seem a bit cheap which was a complete surprise given that EVERY fitting in this hotel is clearly very expensive. It wasn't a problem just an observation. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay and we will most certainly be back.
Barceló Santiago - Adults Only

Wow, what a great find Barceló Santiago was. Today is our last day of six at this hotel and it was brilliant. A little more pricey than others but well worth it. • Absolutely stunning views. It’s definitely worth a little extra for a sea view room. The feeling of walking into our room on Monday with the curtains shut and pulling them apart to reveal the view was the most amazing surprise. The cliffs of Los Gigantes are breathtaking and I couldn’t stop looking through the window. • Good location. There are a good number of shops and restaurants around the hotel. Not an overwhelming amount but good enough for us. Express supermarket just outside the hotel was handy, however the sun cream is so expensive there so if you run out, I’d suggest going to Lidl about 10 minutes up the hill where it isn’t overpriced. We liked walking toward the port of Santiago where there is a small beach and lots of shops and restaurants. It only takes 15-20 minutes and it’s not too hilly. You can also walk the other way towards La Arena which has many more restaurants, bars and shops and a larger beach. Just outside the hotel we visited Alfonso’s bar and Torreón which both do lovely food, we would recommend giving them a go. • Super clean and tidy. The hotel feels very new and the entire place is well kept. The cleaners do a wonderful job in the rooms and the communal areas. • Friendly staff. The staff are very cheerful and all speak good English as well as other languages. The restaurant and bar staff are quick to serve you drinks to your table which is nice. • Food. Although the majority of the food was the same each night they did make an effort with themes. Mexican night was a personal favourite and the food was generally well cooked and always hot. My partner enjoyed the meat and fish on offer each night, however I ate mostly different stuff as I am vegan. I managed to find plenty to eat at lunch and dinner though - lots of salads and veg was available as well as beans, lentil dishes, potatoes and bread. You do have to be careful with the labels on food though. Things had vegan labels but listed egg or dairy in the allergens so just be wary of that if you need to be. Breakfast does get a bit boring though as you are restricted to toast, tomatoes, spinach and beans because mushrooms might have meat added or cheese is put on the potatoes. • Drinks. If you are fussy with drinks, it’s probably worth going for all inclusive plus. My partner and I like cocktails on holiday but they weren’t great. They are the typical all inclusive pre-mixes that aren’t the best so the premium ones are probably better. I ended up sticking to soft drinks and spirits because that seemed to be the safer option. • Outside areas. There are multiple large pools which is ideal in a large hotel like this. There were always enough sun beds too which was nice, never had to worry about those annoying people who reserve sun beds all day and you never get a chance at using one. •Entertainment. We par
