Hotel de aspecto e instalaciones ”viejunas”... pero que tiene la virtud de situ**** junto a la casa Club del golf del mismo nombre. A parte de ésta sus principales puntos a favor son su muy asequible precio, su excelente piscina, un desayuno completo y el aire acondicionado de las habitaciones que funciona perfectamente. Puntos en contra, el mal funcionamiento del wifi (que mejora un poco en la cafetería), no disponer de un minimo escritorio para trabajar en la habitación, lo viejuno de los equipamientos y la falta de limpieza en la vajilla del desayuno.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Mas Tapiolas, and will almost certainly go again. There are many things about it that are very good, but some things which, if addressed, would make it excellent. The rooms are lovely, with a fabulous view - if you pay a little extra for one at the back overlooking the hills - and are comfortably furnished. The pillows are not good, though I am sure the hotel will provide different ones if you ask. The major drawback with the rooms is the lack of sound insulation which can be a serious problem if neighbouring guests are not considerate. Our first night’s sleep was non-existent - doors slamming; children running down corridors and then parents shouting at them; and some particularly hard-of-hearing guests who probably didn’t realise that the entire hotel could have heard their TV. The second night, by comparison, was blissful. No one in adjoining rooms or, at least, not noisy. The breakfast was outstanding on both mornings. Lots of choice; freshly prepared and good quality. Likewise, dinner was absolutely outstanding - we had the Châteaubriand which was melt in the mouth tender - but I simply don’t understand why the hotel doesn’t offer a much more reasonably priced alternative, especially at lunch time. I am sure more people would eat more regularly if they did. In this regard, nothing has changed since our previous visit when the menu did not change from one day to the next, so if you are staying for more than a few nights it would get pretty frustrating. The staff are generally very kind and helpful, though, as someone who stays in different hotels virtually every week, I can assure you that they have some of the noisiest cleaners ever …and there rarely seems to be a time when you don’t have to negotiate a cleaning trolley in the corridor. One of the best features of the hotel remains the spa. The facilities are good; the staff are delightful; and my wife assures me that Vanessa does one of the best facial massages that she has had anywhere. Mas Tapiolas is certainly worth a visit, especially during quiet weeks.

This was our third stay at the Elke Hotel and I don't usually write reviews as I stay at many hotels but this hotel is a jewel. A very good example of a four star hotel that deserves five stars. It has the right balance between privacy and amicable and honest service. Eugenia in particular has been wonderful every time we come. She is pleasant, helpful and good at her job. Also a big shout out for the rest of the reception team and the breakfast manageress - who remembered what we liked and made sure we had perfectly cooked fresh fried eggs every morning. The place and room are spotless and clean, welcoming and nice and new yet warm. the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Even though we had to change hotels for the last night of our stay in San Feliu as the were closing down for a few days after Christmas so the staff could spend time with their families for the holidays, we respect that as it shows management appreciates its staff . Thank you again for a wonderful stay. Oh and the Spa is fantastic - new and very clean and welcoming.

Hotel very nice, clean with a lovely pool and staff very helpful and friendly, lovely hotel in a lovely place. Breakfast has lots of choice and a good standard. Grounds and the whole hotel very well kept. Only stayed for one night but would be more than happy to use the hotel again for a longer stay.

We loved the charm of this hotel in a perfect location just steps from the beach. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The cleanliness was irreproachable. The rooms are small but very comfortable. The restaurant offered a large and varied buffet which changed every day. The swimming pool is lovely but not child friendly as there is no shallow end. A car is a necessity to visit the surrounding areas. If I must say something negative then it would be the absence of a coffee machine in the room. A full length mirror would be welcome and a shelf under the bathroom basin is a necessity. Make sure to request a side sea facing room as there is a construction site just in front of the hotel and the view must surely be spoilt by this. Highly recommend. We will be returning.
