A very special memory and trip spent at this perfect hotel, the courtyard with pool and bamboo trees was memorable, the room was very clean and next to 711 very close by, and the house was very convenient with amenities such as microwave fridge. Will take my family back if I have the chance.

This is your standard 1960's era motel that has been updated. My room was small but clean with a little workspace/nook which was comfy to sit at and eat/work on laptop etc. The floors are the wood laminate, comfy bed with good sheets and pillows. A thin blanket though so people inclined to chill may need a bit more coverage. Shower hot with a water with flow designed for water conservation. Room had one wall mounted t.v with cable and an AC unit that worked well, wi-fi, no problems with parking. The room did not have a fridge or hair dryer. This motel allows dogs for no extra fee. The grounds and area do not have much of a place to walk your doggie however. I had to get in to my map app to find the closest park for dog walking. So for probably one of the lowest price motels in Santa Barbara, it is a clean, bare bones room in a good location in the middle of suburbs with lots of restaurants and shopping options in walking distance. As a single female traveler, I felt safe here.

The hotel location is good, very close to the Santa Barbara court, there is free parking, the hotel is all white, the rooms are very new, it feels good, the decoration is new, share photos to everyone. Breakfast is a typical American breakfast, Chinese people can only eat fruit and yogurt, haha. Overall score 9 points, because house prices are a bit high

The hotel is near the 101 highway, and the navigation can be directed to it directly. The front desk clerk was very patient. The room is relatively large, the bed is also very big, relatively comfortable. There are gas stoves, sinks, microwaves and ovens in the room, but no kitchenware. Although the facilities and equipment are not very new, they are generally okay. Because there is no carpet, there is basically no smell in the room. The air conditioner sounded a bit loud, and turned off when I went to bed at night, and it was not very cold. There are breakfast shops around. It takes ten minutes to drive to the supermarket in town. A woman might knock on the wrong door late at night, she was very scared at the time. Overall, it is recommended as an overnight hotel.

The hotel looks very well maintained. My room had a sofa and desk along with the king size bed. Big room for a hotel. The bathroom and sink area are alittle small, but very modern and tiled. The shower was excellent. The pool and jucuzzi were crystal clear and clean. Pretty big pool with a deep end of 8 ft. The location is about 8 minute drive to downtown, but there are several restaurants within walking distance. The area seems nice, don’t let the closed hotel next door scare you away.

Beware of the concealed fees with this hotel. While staying in Santa Barbara, I decided to cut my stay short due to a “atmospheric river” event. Local news indicated that this was going to be a catastrophic event. When checking out, I was told that a one-day penalty fee would be assessed for a change in the length of stay. While a member of a World of Hyatt, I diligently check for penalties related to cancelation etc. Nothing was referred as to an early checkout. You would think that with an approaching catastrophic event, the hotel personnel would have a little compassion and flexibility as to waiving the hidden change penalty. Absolutely not was the hotel’s response. Common sense verses profit margin would be appreciated from this hotel.

Staying at Extended Stay and I am very satisfied with my room, and that there is a kitchen and they allow dogs. Some of the rooms are dated, but everything is functional. My room is spacious, great tv, kitchen has plenty of storage space, towels and sheets are clean, full size refrigerator. Check in was easy and Cindy has made sure that I am comfortable and happy here! Great rates compared to any other hotels in the area.

The hotel garden is beautiful, the breakfast is fresh, the restaurant is beautiful and you can eat it outside. The room is a row of townhouses, we live on the second floor. The only downside is that the bed is too soft.

GGuest UserWe stayed in room 308 (1 Bedroom Suite) the week of September 12, 2022. The hotel and room are in great condition. All of the employees that we had contact with were very nice. There was always lots of parking available in the hotel parking lot and it's very well lit. There isn't much in the immediate area of the hotel but it's perfectly safe and only a 15 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara. However, the bathroom sink is in the bedroom. It's not actually inside the bathroom with the toilet and shower/tub. I personally really dislike this design because if one person is sleeping you can't use the bathroom sink without waking them up. But what's even worse about the design of the bathroom is that there isn't a single towel rack or hook anywhere near the bathroom sink or the toilet or the shower/tub or on either side of the bathroom door to hang a towel. In addition, I understand that the room that I'm assigned may not look exactly like the photos of the 1 Bedroom Suite on the hotel website but the front desk said that the 1 Bedroom Suite pictured on the hotel website (The bathroom sink is actually inside the bathroom with the toilet and the shower/tub. There are towel racks in the bathroom.) isn't available to anyone. In other words, none of the 1 Bedroom Suites actually look like the photos of the 1 Bedroom Suite on the hotel website. So we resorted to using the ”closet” rods as a towel rack for all of our bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. We also took a square freestanding storage unit from the ”closet” area and placed it next to to the shower/tub to put our towels on so we can reach for them when getting out of the shower. This room is handicap accessible but that should have absolutely nothing to do with having towel racks or not. Everyone needs towel racks whether they're in a wheelchair or not. FYI the metal bars that you see in the photos that I posted are grab bars, not towel racks. I've stayed in hotels that don't have enough towel rack but I've never stayed in a hotel that doesn't have any towel racks at all. This seems like a major design flaw. Considering that we paid $366.00/night on average, this was extremely disappointing and inconvenient.

GGuest UserWhen the only thing my very picky husband can find to complain about is a missing second soap bar in the bathroom, you know you have a winner! We had stayed at this property many years ago and love the way the current owners have redone the interiors. Both our bedroom and bathroom were lovely and excellent sized. We had a large covered balcony overlooking the park and the ocean. Yes, there is noise from both Millais and Cabrillo streets, but the room was virtually soundproof with the sliding doors closed. The pool was clean and uncrowned and the ocean was right across the street. Staff was excellent!

GGuest UserWe found this charming little hotel last minute as we were road-tripping through Santa Barbara. It’s a wonder that it wasn’t fully booked up in advance! Although not right on the water, it is only a five minute walk to the harbor. It has a couple of wonderful features. First, it is quiet and solidly built. Second, the internal long courtyard is filled with trees and plants - a lush botanical garden to enjoy. The staff is super friendly and there is a continental breakfast. We have taken many road trips during the COVID era; when other properties fall short, this place satisfies!

At the restaurant at the door, I bought breakfast with breakfast. It used to mean breakfast deducted with $50. You can order it yourself. The restaurant is delicious
The highlight is the pool, you will love the experience here....a large piece at hand. The pool is warm water.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for 2 nights during Christmas time. The location and price was right. It is walking distance to the beach and warf. The room was clean but very small. We are a family of three and it was a tight fit. We didn't spend much time in the room though so it was fine. Since we came for Christmas we took the self driving holiday light tour. It was amazing! Highly recommended. The warf and boat tour was nice to catch the sunset.

GGuest UserThe style of the hotel is still somewhat characteristic. The room is very compact and hygienic. We live on the first floor, the sound is not good, the sound of walking upstairs is very large, the noise of the hotel exhaust and air conditioning is also very annoying. Booked more than one month in advance, more than 1,600 a night. It feels worthless.

Parking service is also very good, but if you want to park in the hotel, you can only valet parking, you need to spend 32USD, the orange ticket given by the waiter must be collected, you must have a small ticket to pick up the car, when you go, it is recommended A 10USD tip for the valet parking attendant. The service quality of the waiter is also very good, very friendly to the children, and the children are very happy to play. I recommend everyone to go to Santa Barbara to stay at this hotel, praise! ! !

GGuest UserThe resort was beautiful, the room was comfortable and clean. We brought our golden retriever and it was a very pleasant stay for him as well. The location is close enough to the shops and restaurants of State St. but far enough away to be peaceful and not too crowded. My only complaint is the food. We ate at all of the different restaurants and each time we were so disappointed by the quality of the food and the prices were astronomical. I don't mind paying a lot for good food, but this food was worse than what I make at home and I am not a good cook! My daughter ordered the lobster roll at The Set and it was terrible. $30 down the drain. We had breakfast at The Roundhouse and the avocado toast was beyond bland. Then we tried lunch at the Terraza del Mar - I got a chicken Cesar salad and my daughter got a poke bowl. The salad was cole slaw mix and chicken, that was it. Her poke bowl didn't have the rice that it was supposed to have and was horrible, she couldn't have more than a couple bites. I would stay at the resort again, but would never eat at any of their restaurants again. Better to Doordash or eat off property.

GGuest UserFirst, the rooms are pretty small and tight. Bathroom could use some hooks for towels and clothes. No extra chairs and tables. But, none of that mattered. The location is excellent. I think every room has an ocean view.The morning breakfast and the wine tasting in the evening was such a nice touch and a great way to meet other patrons. Lots of nice artwork, sculptures and artifacts around the premises. The overall atmosphere provided by the staff was outstanding. We would love to come back.
