Finca Can Duvai Mallorca

After we got used to the Majorcan standards, we found the entire complex of the finca to be very relaxing. We had a very nice family vacation. (Age of the children; 4 and 6 years). Both Kurt and his team always listened to our concerns. Thank you again for that. When we were there we had an unpleasant experience with the little pony - it can escape by itself and runs after the visitors (it can also escape). Please be careful here or don't let kids go to the horses/donkeys/ponies alone. Kurt wants to strengthen the enclosure to prevent this in the future.

1. Outside area: Beautiful area with old buildings from the 17th century according to the owner Kurt Uv.H... many flowers, beautiful large plants, cacti, holly, almond trees, lemon/orange trees, etc. Many animals, pony, donkey, horse, mule, chickens, roosters, many cats, two Dogs. 2. Apar**ents look much nicer on the website pictures than in reality (it smells musty like in the old cellar) despite the electric heating being switched on, the bed linen felt clammy, i.e. felt damp. In the separate bathroom-toilet behind the door it was cold (has no heating) it often smells musty, like a bad-smelling drain. The water in the shower was only lukewarm for the first 3 days, only after complaining was it increased. The floors and ceilings of the "looters" weren't really clean either. Water ran out of the old refrigerator several times because the electricity went out (freezer compar**ent without existing door). Kitchen - sink cabinet: contents cutlery pots... inside it smelled damp and musty. A lot of cats begging/meowing in front of the apar**ent at breakfast. An old cat probably sick without a jaw can smudge with more cleaning can hardly eat was also often there with another cat (not a pleasant sight) the animal should be cared for/cleaned or released). She sneezes a lot, could probably have cat flu. The well-taken pictures published on the internet do not correspond to reality.

Absolutely recommendable accommodation if you are looking for some peace and seclusion. But also ideal for families. Cats and dogs, as well as horses, donkeys and chickens provide plenty of animal variety. The gorgeous swimming pool invites you to relax when you don't want to go to a beach and the botanical garden offers plenty of opportunity for daydreaming when you let your gaze wander through the area. Very beautiful beaches can be reached within 10 minutes by car. The breakfast buffet was very rich and there was something for every taste! The staff and owners very friendly and accommodating! All in all it was a fantastic holiday for us in an absolutely warm environment!

Our third and certainly not our last time! Before our first visit in 2017, we were looking for a rural and rustic finca and were immediately impressed because this is a beautiful, individual property with lots of greenery and animals. Characterless, leaky hotel complexes with long queues at the buffet are not our thing at all. We particularly liked the fact that you can have peace and quiet here, but you can also connect with the other guests if you want. We liked to spend a quiet evening on our terrace or sit down at the large table with a bottle of wine if we felt like company. As I said, this is not a must here and that is what makes it so relaxed. The houses are all individually furnished with great attention to detail. The kitchens have basic equipment that is sufficient for the days there (but we always pack Tupperware, etc.). If something should be missing, then ask dear Kurt. Even with defective kitchen appliances (a previous person had written), then you only have to ask and you get a replacement immediately. If you are looking for peace and relaxation in a unique environment, like animals and can do without the daily room service, you have come to the right place. We are already looking forward to the next time ＜3

Die Lage der Finca ist wunderbar. Für uns Teilnehmer im Retreat war so alles sehr gut. Der Frühstücksservice war wunderbar, um Taxitransfer wurde sich für uns von der Finca gekümmert. Ich habe den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Die Finca steht auf einem wunderschönen Grundstück mit einem gepflegten Garten und einem schönen Pool. Allerdings haben die Zimmer einen schlechten Comfort, sind veraltet und abgewohnt, einige sind feucht und riechen entsprechend muffig, speziell in den Schränken. Man kann die Dusche nicht einhängen, die Küchenausstattung ist schlecht. Es gibt keinerlei Verpflegung vor Ort, und es kann auch mal sein, dass man da komplett alleine ist. Man wird zum Strom- und Wassersparen angehalten, was an sich gut ist, aber das verschafft zusammen mit der maroden Atmosphäre einen Eindruck, der so gar nicht zum Wohlfühlen ist, und dafür ist der Preis einfach viel zu hoch!

Wir waren dort mit einem dreijährigen Kind und das ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Nicht Kindersicher! Es gibt viele Gefahrenquellen (ungesicherte wahnsinnig steile Stein(!!) Treppe mit 10 Stufen als Zimmeraufgang, wackelnde "Geländerschnur" gibt keinen Halt beim Auf- und Abstieg; Pool voller Wespen wird nicht gereinigt; spitze Metallstücke ragen an Balkonschwelle aus dem Boden; Autobatterie am Pool gelagert; bissige, verwahrloste Katzen, etc.). Auch ansonsten waren wir nicht zufrieden, da viele im Internetauftritt beworbene Merkmale schlicht nicht vorhanden sind: Kein WLAN, kein funktionierender Kühlschrank, Mini Balkon auf den zwei Stühle nur mit Mühe drauf passten, kein (angepriesener) Meerblick, Schlafcouch im Vier-Personen-Apartment max. von einer Person nutzbar und absolut ungemütlich, etc.). Letztlich stimmte das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ganz und gar nicht. Die Strom-Generatoren werden nachts abgeschaltet, sodass man es in den Zimmern bei 30° C nachts nicht aushalten kann, denn der Ventilator geht dann nicht. Seinen Müll muss man selbst entfernen und die Mückennetze haben Löcher, sodass sie funktionslos sind, gleichzeitig gibt es massenhaft Mücken. Auf Nachfragen/Beschwerden hin wird erst nichts getan, dann mit Anwalt gedroht. ABSOLUT NICHT empfehlenswert.

Abseits des Massentourismus befindet sich diese historische Hofanlage die liebevoll restauriert wurde. Ideal für Familien und Individualreisende die es besonders mögen und die nicht die Ansprüche wie an ein neu gebautes All-Inclusive-Hotel haben.
