Beach Star Ibiza

Positives Good location, right next to the ferry over to San Antonio bay. Good budget hotel if you want something that feels a bit more holiday like, and less party hotel. Nice sized room, very basic but you get what you paid for. Pool is a nice size for a small pool, with plenty of sun loungers around it. Good hotel bar and restaurant. Good cocktails and non alcoholic options. Late checkout was until 2pm and cost €29. Negatives Definitely an adult hotel and mostly suited to weekend visits to the island. I wouldn’t personally spend more than a few days here. You have to pay extra for the safe. €5 per day Our toilet kept getting blocked. The hotel did sort it but the standard of the bathroom wasn’t overly great.

This hotel is practically beach front. It’s within walking distance of the ferry to San Antonio which costs 5 euro one way and takes 10-15 minutes. Free parking is available at the bottom of the road, ask reception as you have to park on the correct side of the signs. The hotel is clean, rooms comfortable, lovely pool with DJ, pool towels available, shops, bars and restaurants only a very short walk. Would recommend.

We were allocated a room beside the lift.The lift squeaked all day and night we requested a room change nothing available at the time.We eventually got a room change three days later.No smart TV and only 3 chanels in English.New room was adequate.Broken tiles on the stairs up to our room.Air conditioning broke twice .We contacted reception and the girl who came up could not speak English she had to use Google translate.We asked for a fan but was unsure if she could give us one as the staff would need it in the morning.She finally relented and gave it to us.There is a charge for the safe. which should be included in the cost.The hotel itself is very run down and needs a complete overhall.Pool area tatty and wood breaking off the sides of the cabanas .Was not a cheap place to stay and you would definitely get better value for your money.I would rank this hotel as barely a 3 star.My advice ....do not stay here worst 4 star I have ever stayed in.Only nice thing were two members of staff Carlos and Sarah who tried to sort out our issues and were were understandiing.

Beautiful bedroom with see view, clean with a little kitchen. The staff is very kind and take care about us for exemple to advice us about booking party or taxi… about all things and commodities around the hotel. The bus line 9 close to the hotel to go to the airport.. good vibes and place. I enjoy my stay with my family.

Stayed here for 4 nights, nice hotel, bar staff are very slow and so unenthusiastic. It’s little but tired but not too bad at all for a few nights. The music round the pool is so loud, I’ve actually been to clubs and bars where it’s quieter! when you want to just chill in the day time and the useless bar staff didn’t know how to turn it down! It’s the button that says volume!!! Went to the manager and he said it’s the hotel policy that it is up that loud. When we said we are trying to relax he said “oh well I guess you can’t” On our last day the stupid maid asked us when we were leaving the room at 10am. She then said check out is at 11am and then asked her what the time was and she didn’t know the time. Other than not a bad stay.

Brilliant hotel, ignore all the bad reviews! Just came back from a week there. The reception staff were friendly and always booked us taxis despite reviews saying they wouldn't. Pool and DJs are great, lovely atmosphere in the day. Drinks reasonably priced (especially delicious sangria and rose to share amongst friends). Rooms are perfect, sea view is beautiful. Well equipped, clean, spacious, great aircon, comfy beds. Only downside is one pillow per person so I put a towel under mine. If you get a pool view it is likely to be noisier by midday if you want to lie in. The bar/hotel opposite is loud until about midnight but we booked this as a party hotel so expected to have late nights/have noisy corridors. It can be noisy with people coming in/going out late and early so expect this, earplugs helped! Rooms cleaned daily if you want them to be, fresh towels. Can cook if you want to but we ate out. Johnny's bar (burgers) at top of road is lovely, there's an irish bar and other restaurants along the road too but we didn't go to those. Breakfast buffet is great and so generous, you get charcuterie/baguettes, fresh fruit and can order eggs/beans/sausages etc too, really good value. Is served until 12pm which was great when hungover, we actually missed it one day as didn't get in until 7am! Can always get sunbeds but we did go last week of Sept (think people are hungover/in bed until late)! Easy to get cabs to/from San An and to the big clubs, expect to pay about 30-40 euros each way to go over to the Old Town/clubs on other side of the island. Overall we loved this hotel and would definitely stay again!
