Had a great 3 weeks restaurant staff fantastic nothing to much trouble and always happy, food was presented to high standard. Will be returning. This is set in a great area for swimming and snorkeling. Also easy to catch the bus ti Ibiza old town.

Can not deny this likely has the best views in Portinatx and this by far out-weighs the negatives and 3 star. The pool and views are more 5 star! Still thought £1650 for 11 nights was expensive but not compared to all other accommodation in Ibiza and only place in Portinatx available that is not Adult Only. Actually loved it all. Had to pay extra for air con as room on front (best view of the bay) was so incredibly hot due to sun setting on it (balcony to warm to sit on at night!) but it was mid August so can’t complain. Without aircon incredibly hot (too hot to cope with) at night and a little bit noisy when patio doors are open at the front due to restaurant next door and road. Absolutely fine once purchased air on and could shut the doors and worth it for the beautiful view! Only complaint was not for Del Rey but the all inclusive hotel on the bay of the beach in front booming British cabaret acts and really old music for an hour at 10/10.30pm every night. I’ve no idea how they are allowed to get away with disturbing the WHOLE resort of Portinatx…nothing in the accommodations power to do anything though so not a reflection on Del Rey. I honestly loved this place and resort and would look to go back. I do think the prices are high but it is cheaper in other off peak seasons/even July. Staff were at hand in the downstairs office and really attentive helpful when electric went off once and I made a small complaint about noise in neighbouring restaurant (lots of people eating and joking around at 2.30am!) but again, out of their control and fine once we purchased aircon and shut doors. Restaurants nearby all seem to price match and were overpriced sadly. We spent a lot compared to other holidays. One cafe (Rincon Verde) up the road charged us 23 eur for a jug of sangria (after not issuing us a drinks menu). Not sure if this is standard. Doubt it as we weren’t charged that elsewhere at nicer places. All in all a wonderful family holiday, Del Rey has the best location and everything you need with kids is within a 5 min walk in the resort which has 3 beaches. Water sports great and we hired a car which was cheap to visit other areas, Ibiza town, Benirras beach, San Joan market. Loved it all.

We are here as I write this and I’ve felt compelled to state what a fantastic place this is. I cannot believe what we have for the price we paid and in school hols! Huge balcony overlooking the most beautiful sea view. Sandy beach on our doorstep (beach is cleaned every morning). We had our beds and towels changed and room swept mid week which I wasn’t expecting for the price. Staff have responded within minutes to emails I sent asking if the pool was open (it’s not but the beach is magical) and if hairdryers are in the rooms (they can be borrowed from reception for a deposit). Yes some of the fixtures and fittings are dates but there is new furniture and the bed is so comfy, foam mattress with a mattress topper! We visited playa f’rn hiss’s yesterday and I have to say this location is soo much nicer. Lovely beach bars. A fab bakery below us for brekkie. Partial sunset but if you feel the need to see the sun set over the water and not the mountains then you can from the next bay along.

AVERAGE AT BEST - VERY NOISY ROOMS, ALL THE DOORS SLAM, THERES GAPS UNDER THE FRONT DOORS SO YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING IN THE HALLWAYS, THERES A MIX OF RESIDENTS AND HOLIDAY MAKERS, THE RESIDENTS ARE EITHER OLDER QUIET COUPLES, OR AFRICANS WHO DONT WORK. - AIR CON IS 15 EUROS PER DAY, I UNDERSTAND BUT ITS REALLY EXPENSIVE - RECEPTION IS VERY HARD TO FIND, NO ONE WAS THERE WHEN WE ARRIVED, I HAD TO RING OFF GOOGLE TO BE TOLD SOMEONE WAS COMING SOMETIME SOON, 30 MINUTES LATER OF SITTING OUTSIDE WAITING SOMEONE ARRIVED - THE WATER IN THE SHOWER WAS COLD FOR 3 DAYS, WE REPORTED IT 3 TIMES UNTIL IT WAS FIXED, I DONT COME ON HOLIDAY TO LIVE IN POVERTY - THE TV IN THE ROOM SAID IT HAD ENGLISH LISTINGS, WAS ALL TUNED IN SPANISH, DIDNT BOTHER ASKING FOR HELP TO SORT, SINCE IT TOOK 3 DAYS TO GET HOT WATER - HOUSE KEEPING CALL AT RANDOM TIMES, USUALLY THEY CALL DURING THE DAY WHILE YOU'RE OUT - NOT AT 5-6PM WHILE YOU'RE TRYING TO SHOWER AND GET READY FOR AN EVENING MEAL, RESULTING IN US DECLINING 2 MAID VISITS AS IT WASNT SUITABLE TIMING - THE SUNLOUNGER MATS ARE 2.50 A DAY TO RENT AT THE POOL, BARELY 5 A DAY ARE RENTED BECAUSE OF THIS, WHY NOT JUST GIVE THEM TO PEOPLE FOR FREE? - THE POOL TABLE IS 2 EUROS, 2 TABLES, I SAW MAYBE 6 GAMES IN 12 NIGHTS, OVER PRICED SO PEOPLE DONT PAY - THE HOTEL HAS A LOT OF TRANSIENT GUESTS, PEOPLE WHO COME FOR 2-4 NIGHTS THEN LEAVE, NOT REALLY A FAMILY FEEL TO IT THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS JUST AVERAGE, I DIDNT HATE IT, BUT I DIDNT ENJOY IT - I WOULD NOT PAY THE MONEY TO VISIT THIS HOTEL / APARTMENTS AGAIN PORTINATX IS EXPENSIVE, THERE ARE A COUPLE OF GREAT VALUE PLACES TO EAT, THE OTHERS SERVE BASIC FOOD AT NOT SO BASIC PRICES, YOU SOON LEARN WHERE TO AVOID THINK BEFORE YOU VISIT PORTINATX, WE'VE VISITED IBIZA 15+ TIMES OVER 20 YEARS, THIS MADE ME RETHINK RETURNING - PERHAPS COVID CHANGED THE ECONOMIC LANDSCAPE?

The complex is just across the street from the beach and beside the main square where you'll find a few bars, a supermarket, a bus stop that goes to ibiza town etc. .The apartments may be a little dated however ours was magnificent. The view from our balcony right across the bay and out to the sea was breathtaking.. The balcony was massive and the bedroom quite sizeable as well. The apartments were cleaned regularly and for the cheap price we paid this was very very good value for money. There can be a little issue with noise from other apartments and eventhough there is a lift up to level 4 you may stiill need to navigate flights of steps to get to rooms numbered 200-300. The salt water pool is stunning with views over Portinatx and the pool bar is one of the best I've seen. The safety deposit boxes are in the reception are though its not 24 hour and closes fo a few hours in the afternoon and then at 21:30. That said they will keep it open if you're arriving late. The apartments have a small cooker, microwave, electric kettle and an iron for your clothes. I stayed here 9 years ago and it was nowhere near as good as it is now. Based on the price and what we got for it.....im giving 5/5.

Arrived on 7th April 22 Apartment was baltic, we asked could they fix it and was told we had to pay for air con. We explained we didnt want air con but that the room was freezing and something had to be fixed. Nothing was done , it was 20⁰ outside, the apartment was frozen we were putting on extra layers and wrapping ourselves in blankets. Someone came to fix the toilet but it still kept leaking. Went to go sleep only to hear the front door open with the wind and realise theres no way of locking it from inside and we had to put a chair against the door (which due to the wind, didnt work). Felt so uncomfortable staying in a place with no locks on any of the doors. The rooms are small and old fasioned but the bedroom by the front door had two tiny windows covered by curtains. It couldn't have felt any more claustrophobic. Barely anyone had a word of English which made communicating near impossible aswell as trying to order food. Wouldn't recommend the area to tourists or the apartment at all to anyone!!! And thats by day 1 alone. Personally felt anxious and drained the whole stay, would never return or recommend to anyone. You would get a better experience at home altogether. Two days left, the two toilets are still leaking, the fire alarm goes off every time we cook even with the balcony doors open and the fan on. Ants all over one of the bathrooms floor. Then the two bathroom floors Never stay again even if it was all paid for . Would NOT recommend!!

So I’m not sure where to start about this hotel and the nightmare we have had. I was due to stay until 16th April, I’m writing this on the 14th and have already left as I couldn’t deal with the nightmare anymore. We booked hoping to have a cheap family holiday and thought we could spend our days by the beach and pool however we weren’t informed when booking that the pool was seasonal and would be closed (if I knew this I wouldn’t of booked). When we arrived we thought everything was okay until our first full day when I tried to cook food and wash up. First of all, the electricity just kept cutting and I was having to reset this by the mains. It happened 3 times inside 30 seconds making it near impossible to cook. After a struggle I managed to cook a meal, i then went to wash up the pots and bath the kids. This is when I noticed the hot water lasts about 2 minutes and then goes cold and the sink was blocked in our room. I was speaking with ********** then checking over the booking email I received to realise the owner had conned us and charged us double tourism tax what was meant to be €0.55 euro per adult per night he charged us €1.10 a night. I also realised the hotel was promising a 41” inch tv in the room this was at best a 18”, this isn’t a issue for us really just seems like their full business is built on lies, offering services they know aren’t correct. I went to the reception to talk to the manager about the issues I faced and the overcharged tax as I thought it may of been a honest mistake charging us for the kids maybe. This was when I was treated with disrespect like I was stupid and he was just saying that’s the right charge (I know now it Isn’t as I’ve clarified this with my new hotel). When telling him about the issues he was just walking away until I confronted him and called him rude for walking away, he said he will send someone up. I went to my room and waited for the man to come to the room only for him to come pop his head in and say ‘no English’ and walk out. After that night the hotel room was starting to smell due to the blocked sink I was having to wash pots in the bathroom sink and have cold showers, we decided to just leave early as we couldn’t endure the nightmare anymore and it just wasn’t hygienic for the kids to be in that environment. And the fact he knows he wrongly charged us on the tax and tried to defend himself just shows the type of person he is, they might be hoping to get as much back due to covid but that’s not our fault to over charge us. Ps. I spoken to ********* a lot during our stay and they kept trying to contact the property to try and organise us some kind of compensation or an early check out with the price of the nights we don’t stay returned but they just ignore their phones. I was on the live chat to them once when they rang and I was walking past reception and could see them just ignoring the phone & emails. The lad on reception on a nighttime was really helpful and polite and the closeness t
