- We chose this hotel because you can rent bikes here. Unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience! After several days of unsuccessful discussions with the hotel staff and the rude and angry boss, we had to pay the 300€ charged by the hotel for the rented and stolen functional bikes. It is a great pity to have such a bad experience during our vacation. To secure the bikes, we were given a lock with which we locked the bikes. Unfortunately our bikes were stolen near the beach. Communication with reception was very sobering. The shocked reaction - dodgy, unsympathetic, the angry boss at the back of the office - made the whole situation even more awkward. Since we didn't leave our bikes "in a parking lot" and paid for it, their insurance company apparently wasn't willing to pay anything. We tried to find a common solution with the hotel, we were willing to pay a certain amount, but not €300 for 2 bikes, which were really only practical and not in good condition. When asked how old the bikes are and a receipt for the value of the bikes, the answers were different (from this year, from last year, finally on the last day we received a receipt that the bikes had apparently cost €500 each before about 5 years). Only after asking and waiting several times was the boss willing to speak to us personally, but only in Italian (translation from reception) and also questionable sentences that we didn't understand, in which the outraged boss might have made fun of us. The boss ran away several times during the conversation. The boss's statement: "Either you pay this €300 or we'll call the police, who will intercept you at the airport". After tears and when we accused the hotel of threatening us as paying customers of the hotel with "either we pay or there will be big problems", the boss calmed down and said that they would ask for a receipt for the value of the bikes and a take care of a common solution. Really tired and stressed out from these discussions (spread throughout our stay there) we finally came to terms with it. The next day we paid the 300€, we still haven't been offered a joint solution. - Booking of the airport transfer (for 100€) spontaneously 2 days before departure is not possible!! "Should be booked 7-10 days in advance". Luckily we saw an ad, called and were able to organize an airport transfer ourselves straight away. - Half board: Food was ok, selection very limited (unsuitable for vegetarians or people who don't eat seafood), we wouldn't choose more
