Tenuta Negroamaro

The estate is located a few kilometers from Gallipoli, therefore close to everything, but in the silence of the countryside. We stayed in this property in the week from 16th to 21st February. We were practically 3 adults, since my almost adult son was with us. The estate is not very large but it is very beautiful and well looked after, with a few independent suites, quiet, quite spacious and very well furnished, even if in some aspects not very functional. It is clear that it is a structure designed more for the summer period, rather than to be used all year round, but this did not prevent us from spending the period in the best possible way, thanks also to the availability and courtesy of the staff. Joanne and the kitchen guys made us feel at home, meeting our needs and pampering us in every way. The "suites" consist of a bedroom and a bathroom with shower and are equipped with either a small garden with an external shower or a private swimming pool. The only inconvenient aspect is the positioning of the sinks which are in the room and not in the bathroom, thus taking away some privacy for the guests. In our case the staff had added a camp bed with a mattress to allow us to all be together, the dimensions of which were a little small; let's say it was more suitable for a child than an adult. The bathrooms lack a bidet, but the toilet is equipped with a hand shower. The restaurant has few tables inside, but is equipped with a beautiful living room, where you can relax, which overlooks the swimming pool perfectly integrated into the rural environment, framed by stone and olive trees. In addition to breakfast, there is the possibility of eating in the structure upon prior request and, to the extent possible, to agree on the menu. The cuisine is very good and offers typical dishes of Salento and Puglia culture. Many products are zero km, as they are typical of the estate, such as the citrus fruits with which they produce an excellent jam: we loved the mandarin jam. In one part of the garden there are some animals including chickens, ducks and a beautiful family of ******* pigs: mum, dad and little daughter Maya. Finally, we cannot fail to mention the facility's mascots Miluna and Borzi, two very sweet piebald Jack Russells, who welcomed us and made us miss our little dogs left at home less. We plan to return to this estate in spring, so as to take full advantage of all the comforts it offers. Absolutely recommended place.

What can I say, we're at home now. Everything always lives up to expectations. Every time leaving is a blow to the heart. But we will be back very soon. Thanks as always to Federica Joanne and Richard who manage to make you feel the emotion of feeling at home.
