It's a beautiful home in a fabulous location. However, as one of the few tourists around, I felt that we were taken advantage of. I felt pressured to pay cash. I was taken on an eye wateringly expensive tour of nearby sights. I made it clear I didn't understand things but I felt coerced into accepting things. The room is ok - a bit cold and the bathroom microscopic.

Lovely old Turkish mansion house set in the old part of Sanliurfa near to Abrahams pool/Balikligol. Wonderful welcome by the owner Kamel and we were well looked after. He even took us to a local restaurant when we asked for a recommendation. Bedrooms are decorated in lovely traditional Ottoman style with many different artefacts and all were clean and well presented. It was unseasonably hot while we were there and the rooms had air conditioning which was great. The breakfast was traditional Turkish and plentiful and was set out in the central courtyard. A great place to stay when visiting Sanliurfa and we would highly recommend this accommodation.

Fabulous stay here with the best of Turkish hospitality. Great location, comfortable room and a lovely roof terrace with views across the city. Really good Turkish breakfast with homemade pekmez.! The owner greeted us like family. A lovely quiet place to stay but close to everything at the same time.

Booked for 2 nights. Stayed in a twin room, ground floor. There was a long cord along entry to the bathroom and around the bed, which you could fall over. The light near the bed needed new light bulb. Bathroom cabinet was broken & bathroom was filthy. Bathroom ceiling ventilator held to ceiling with tissues. TV did not work. Filthy floor rugs. Bedroom stunk of urine. No hand sanitisers or masks in room or public areas. No water provided. Mini bar was switched off & empty. Couldn’t find a phone. Eventually found an old broken telephone hidden in a cabinet, with exposed broken wires tied up. Other cabinet with coat hangers had a left behind T-shirt from someone else and junk in drawer. There was no view as advertised. Just a small window near the ceiling. No wifi. Issues were raised with a young guy whose response was “I just work here”. Requested yo change rooms but hotel was full. He did change light bulb & removed cord but couldn’t get tv to work. He sprayed the room to mask the urine smell but that didn’t last. No apology. Please refer to my photos before booking this hotel.

I just spent three nights here and I struggle to see how this is rated No4 of the hotels in Urfa. I notice that there is only one review in the past two years and that is not a good one. I can only assume that when reviewers talk about chatting to the owners and staff that this must have been years ago. I actually enjoyed staying here. The hotel is very convenient for the main sights and I was able to park not too far away. There is literally one guy who does everything. He checked me in, helped with my bags from the car, made breakfast and cleaned the rooms between bookings. He was really friendly and the breakfast was excellent but he does not speak English. The building is a big restored traditional house and the architecture is great. My room was large and comfortable but the bathroom was tiny and a bit scruffy. Wifi worked well as did the aircon, there was plenty of hot water. There was a fridge but it wasn't connected up. The room was decorated in a traditional style with some interesting ornaments. It was clean when I arrived but not cleaned every day. This didn't bother me but might not suit some people. Breakfast was in the courtyard and there were also two large upper terraces with views of the city. I also had a small seating area outside my door which was good. It took about half an hour to check out as my *********** reservation said they accept Visa but it was a struggle to get a connection with their card machine. Possibly easier to pay cash. This hotel is fine as long as you don't go with massive expectations. The guy running it tries his absolute best but perhaps he should be given a bit of help by the owner. All in all, it was quirky but a good experience.

Beautiful historic place, very close to the heart of Sanliurfa, right opposit of Balikligöl and Mosque and birthplace of the Prophet Ibrahim. The owners of the hotel and the staff are wholeheartedly welcoming and helpful. You feel at home, and they treat you as a part of a family. Rooms are spacious, the view especially from the terrace over the city is amazing. I will no doubt stay there again with my family when in Sanliurfa again.

It's a little hidden gem hidden in the maze of narrow lanes in the old Town of Urfa. A small boutique hotel... has beautifully decorated rooms with local artifacts. It's an old stone house so don't expect elevator service. It's just two floors though. Friendly staff and this boutique hotel is just 2 minutes walk from the old Town bazaar and the lake of Prophet Abraham. I fact you have beautiful view of the mosque and the castle pillars from the terrace. But be prepared to walk a bit the hotel as it's difficult for large cars to enter the lanes of the old Town. Plus you may have to put in a little effort finding it. We called the hotel and they came and met us a little away from the hotel and walked us back there. If you are looking for an affordable but unique experience, this is it!
