I would like to divide my review into two areas. Firstly, the hotel and then the attached restaurant. When you arrive at the hotel, the first thing you notice is the "ruin" to the right of the hotel, which definitely spoils the first impression. Once you have left that behind you, you enter a 3* country hotel. The reception was, as you would expect as a guest, friendly and courteous. We had booked a room facing the Rhine, which was a good size, as was the bathroom. The furnishings are not the newest, but still made a neat and clean impression. What the hotel can't do about, but still has to be mentioned, are the railway lines that run right past the hotel on both sides of the Rhine. The B9 also runs right past the hotel. So you should book a room facing the Rhine. The breakfast in the hotel was of a 3* standard, not exclusive, but it gave you a basis for the day. You can also book half board, and we would recommend that because the food is really very good. Small menu, but then the dishes are of high quality. Of course, you can also eat there if you are not a hotel guest. Regional and seasonal cuisine of the highest quality is offered. You can combine it with a wine tasting, which is actually a must for wine lovers. What I would like to recommend to the owner is to remove the exposed wiring in the winter garden and the dirty corner on the open terrace. It spoils the actually positive overall impression and can be quickly fixed. The hotel is a good choice for a short break.
