We were invited to a dream wedding at Lake Wolfgang and were really looking forward to our stay. Due to the longer travel time, we booked three double rooms for our family for the weekend. After the written request on our part, we received the offer for the room including half board. After checking with the hotel, we were told that this was a typographical error on the part of the employee and that the price for bed and breakfast was the same. Interesting.. Half-board and breakfast have the same price there...., but good... The wedding began at 2:00 p.m. - for us it was a matter of course to get the room before the wedding started, just to be able to relax to freshen up and move. There were also several families with small children, who also wanted to take care of the little ones. Another interesting experience as the rooms weren't ready until 3pm! So an hour after the start of the wedding! It is incomprehensible to me how such a misorganization can come about. But well... After several urgent requests we got a room in advance. The wedding then took place on the jetty next to the boathouse. Very nice ambience there... unfortunately without sun protection... but umbrellas were made available to the wedding party. With the result that the back rows got a view of open umbrellas. Here I ask myself the question, why not invest in an awning that you can unroll if necessary? Especially if the website advertises weddings? The agape took place in the adjoining boathouse. A nice, clean house, unfortunately without a glass washer... so after the first round you got the prosecco served in a lemonade glass.... Dinner was scheduled for 7 p.m.... the starter was served around 8 p.m. or later. The taste was very good, but the portion size would have been too small for small children. After that, the company was allowed to wait again, because the kitchen staff didn't manage to serve the main courses (either the side dish - which should have been fried pink! or the fish) at the same time for the 60 guests. The main dishes were successively served at intervals of more than 20 minutes. Unbelievable when you consider that the hotel's website advertises seminars and weddings and then it is not possible to satisfy all or most of the guests at the same time. The dessert then took over an hour again, which messed up the entire process of the wedding. On the positive side, the food tasted very good. Another negative aspect is that the service staff wasn't able to clear away the empty plates, the set plate was taken away after the dessert after the guests had asked for it several times. Ich war kein Hotelgast, nur Restaurantgast. Ich bin spätabends gekommen, in der Dunkelheit. Von der Mondseer Straße ist die Einfahrt zum Hotel miserabel gekennzeichnet. Ein kleines Schild, keinerlei Beleuchtung. Bin dran vorbeigefahren. Und der Parkplatz ebenfalls total unbeleuchtet und im Dunkel. Eine Zumutung!
