The rooms are ok and good housekeeping but the food is served cold, with no choice. The chicken this evening was undercooked for one of our party. The audacity to charge for tap water is ridiculous. Hotel employees are in the bar in the evening and get served before guests. This is not a 4 Star hotel and I would never come back. Where is the hotel manager who should be doing the rounds to check that guests are happy or not.

I think this is the first time we have had to give a bad review on trip advisor WARNING , so disappointed – never assume things stay the same, always check current reviews before booking. We went hoping for the best, unfortunately situation was as reported by the latest guest reviews. AVOID. Sadly this hotel is no longer recommended. Booked via Inghams who were fine with flights and transfers, but they really need to address the problems/standards at this once great hotel. I doubt you will find any positive reviews of this hotel since the change of ownership. Unfortunately I did not check the reviews until after I had booked. Apologies for the length of this review below – the title of it should mean you don't need to read any further, but if you are not convinced .... Unfortunately this hotel has new owners and food is not at all like our previous experience. On previous visits to this hotel we experienced some of the best food and service we have had on a ski holiday (in over 15 years mixture of grades of chalets and hotels) which is why I was returning, now sadly it is the worst we have had. Current price is far too high for the standard of food given. Personally I would not return now even if it were cheaper. Previously the hotel had a dining room with a la carte menu for non-hotel guests, it no longer offers this. Previously we had a choice of mains but as it is now a set menu for all so I would now call this a Chalet Hotel. The catering is awful. We have had much, much better food cooked by inexperienced first season chalet hosts. We never received hot food, one night the waitress advised to mind the hot plates, but no, they were only luke warm. Breakfast - Bacon is deep fried and more like crisps, not many people were eating it. Get to the scrambled egg as soon as replenished (though even then it is luke warm and a bit rubbery, they should do smaller batches and replenish regularly) Boiled eggs are also possibly warm but never hot. Cold items eg Muesli and rolls nice. Take your own tea if you prefer English tea as only 10 bags or so each day (not replenished). Milk not monitored/replenished regularly so runs out. One day there was banana bread, but only 10 slices, never replenished. Dinner – everything was edible but for the whole week the food was luke warm and bland and lacked vegetables/salad. The table next to us began bringing their own salad items – good call! Wine - 1st night asked for a rose wine, told they don’t offer rose. Anyway after tasting the food offerings I’m not sure what the wine would have been like. I declined to order any drinks for the rest of the week. Husband had Weisse beer which was ok, but not his favourite. Service started from 6.45pm and by 7.30pm some dessert options had run out! Seemed that they were not trying to cater for anywhere near the guest capacity eg Strawberries and chocolate wafers dessert they must have only prepared 1 bowl of strawberries as I made a point of checking out

We had read some of the reviews before going, so we were prepared for the worst. In the end, the food wasn't completely inedible, but I wouldn't go there again. Breakfast was fine -- plenty of scrambled eggs and bacon (always bordering on burnt), with cheese, muesli, yoghurt, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and plenty of warm rolls. Coffee was mostly okay, though occasionally terrible. Biggest problem with breakfast is that it only starts at 07:30 -- which makes it tight for those meeting a guided group or wanting to catch the first lifts. It really needs to open at 07:00. The dinner service was edible. The starter and mains were pleasant enough, though usually served tepid. The wine optiosn were pretty good. However, there were practically NO VEGETABLES OR SALAD served with dinner (a few peas or a single leaf of lettuce). There were more vegetables at breakfast than at dinner. We ended up buying bags aof salad at the Spar to add to the meal. They really need to add a soup and salad bar at dinner so that guests can supplement the single dinner choices. The bar was pretty good and the spa was reasonsable though usually had children running around. We ended up going the Arlberg Wellness center a few times for a better experience. I would definitely choose a different hotel next time I'm in St. Anton.

We have been to this hotel twice before, in April 2023 and February 2024. Inghams advised us in September 2024 that the hotel had changed hands to a Danish owner (Heart Group). This hotel is not to the same standard. The receptionist advised us that it was now 3 star and not 4 star. There is no choice in menu, so is a 3-course set dinner. The food was often burnt or rubbery and not inspirational. There were little vegetables given and "portion control" was a feature at dinner. Sometimes it was cool and certainly not hot. There were lots of rolls at breakfast but it was chaos, as everybody was making a bee-line for the decent parts of the food but often there were insufficient tongs to serve the guests. They needed a time and motion study of the buffet layout! There were only soap dispensers in the bedroom, no shampoo or shower caps, etc. The maid fluffs up the pillows nicely. We weren't messy, so she had an easy job! The swimming pool was fine but there were numerous children jumping in if you go just after 5pm, so best leaving until after 6pm. On a positive, the sauna was super hot and there were lovely fluffy towels. I booked with Inghams and I felt that it was overpriced for what you received. Heart Group used gap year students to run the restaurant, who are pleasant but they are only there to ski for the season. There are no "proper" staff. We thought there was a good chef and a bad chef, with pot luck who was on for your dinner. This wasn't just a British thing. Danes and Swedes thought the hotel was overpriced for what was offered.

Originally booked Hotel Post thru Igluski and in September Inghams told us there had been an overbooking and we were moved to Hotel Arlberg which we were assured was comparable. What they neglected to tell us is that the hotel had just come under new management and they had no way of backing up their assurances. Whilst I accepted the hotel would not be as close to the main lifts, as long as everything else was 4* then all good. Unfortunately this was very far from being 4*. The food as mentioned elsewhere was simply appalling. The whole restaurant appears to be run by temp young staff, and whilst extremely pleasant and doing their best, what they served up was nowhere near standard. First night was buffet and the other nights a set 3 course menu with no choices. Each dish was awful - I wish I'd taken a picture of the carpaccio as the picture would sum it up. Each course was barely edible and by the third night we were eating out - rather gutting as it just adds to the cost of an already expensive holiday. Breakfast was ok. Just very limited on hot items, and boiled runny lukewarm eggs did not get a repeat try after the first attempt. No option to even have eggs done to order - something even a low star hotel would offer. Rooms - ok. But no fridge, no coffee facilities. Just one soap dispenser (no separate shampoo / conditioner). Seriously you'd get more from a premier inn. That's the last time I book through Igluski or purchase an Inghams holiday, or even accept any last minute nonsense on overbooked rooms. Their lack of honesty says it all.

Room - what would have been a reasonably comfortable room was let down by dated furnishings. Breakfast - the cold items in the buffet were satisfactory but the hot items were low quality. Dinner - the food was edible but uninspiring, included no salad, and there was no choice of courses, also seemed to be lukewarm every night.. and the serving staff seemed very inexperienced, incapable of dividing a bottle of wine into 9 glasses, or holding cutlery by the handle, for example. Location - very good.

We booked a 4* hotel and got chalet style service of young inexperienced and unsupervised staff. Reception open day hours only. No food choice for dinner and frequently running out of various food items. Good food and plenty of it is paramount for a good skiing holiday!

WORST food and service ever at any hotel. Nearly half an hour after buffet breakfast commencing there was no coffee left, no cups or saucers available, no toaster put out. Responses from staff to guests, 'it's on it's way'. You quickly learn which cupboards have the correct crockery. Young 'Season Aires' run the hotel with a dismissive manger. No food choice for evening meals and incapable of serving hot food and if edible I had to ask to warm it up. English translation rarely describes the offering. The 'chicken breast' was a miss match of some kind of meats and served raw as can be seen from the gallery. Be prepared to pay to eat elsewhere. Only the cleaning staff could be considered competent and professional, presumably from prior ownership. This was a fantastic hotel as I have stayed previously prior to new ownership. How things have changed.
